Signing up on a list at two different Rolex AD's OK?
On the whole, I'd say it increases your chances of getting the watch you want in the same way buying 2 Powerball tickets does - infinitesimally.
Rolex has an intranet and the software may seem the same at a dealer, but dealers don't share their CRM system or data with other dealers (with the exception of chains like WOS or Mayors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Yes, you are fine to do so.
As long as you can hear that AD line Rolex is the most desirable watch brand in the world, therefore we have none available at this time? |

It's generally fine to sign up at multiple Rolex ADs. They usually don’t share customer lists, so the second dealer likely won’t know you signed up with the first. This can actually increase your chances of getting a watch, as each AD has its own waitlist and allocation. Just be honest if asked and manage your follow-ups politely. Good luck!

To the OP -
This isn’t Porsche or Ferrari - there are no central databases that track your indications of interest at multiple dealers. Good Luck in your Rolex quest….. |

There is no central database. I’ve gotten watches from 3 ADs in 3 states. One where I live, one where I grew up and where my parents still live, and one in a city I regularly travel to for work.
Cast as wide of a net as you can |

No problem, go to as many AD’s as you like, they’ll all keep you hanging.

Well, the market is softening and Rolex is opening 3 temporary factories to catch up.. so you never know? Maybe we'll all end up with 2-3 GMT's and before we know it, the market will be flooded ;)

It would surprise me, despite the new factories or an economic downturn, if supply came anywhere near demand. The customer wish lists and long, long wait times have become the norm.

Signing up on a list at two different Rolex AD's OK?
I have 4 AD’s I do business with in two different countries and they know I buy between several AD’s and there is no issue at all. Why put all the pressure on one AD?
Each one has some of the same watches on my list and some don’t and they have came through 100% on every request. Just be genuine and you’ll be fine OP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think it is a good question to ask if you are not sure. For example, what would the community answer if this question was about Patek Philippe?
It is my understanding that Patek Philippe central knows exactly where each watch was purchased and to whom it was sold (new from AD). Also would it be the case that sometimes Patek Philippe centrally approve who gets what rather than each AD? As such getting on a waiting list at multiple ADs may be communicated back to PP central - would that have any bearing on whether you get the watch you request? |

Only issue I see is the ADs are so close they might talk to each other about customer requests. Normally, competitive businesses would not do that to keep their customers private but in this market where everything is pre-sold, who knows what they might be doing.
