Wow guys, all really great looking watches.
I really like the vintage or out of production models, they are really cool 'tool' watches. This forum is going to be great with the quality of Breitling watches, no doubt about that

ok. this is my friend's breitling purchased by him a long time ago, before he expatriated to Thailand. He's asked me to fix it up and sell it, but neither he nor I know much about Bretilings let alone its value. Can anyone help identify this 'mystery' watch?
any help appreciated! Addendum: AND, can anyone tell me(address please) where I can send this for proper reconditioning and repair? And will it be worth it? .......thanks Last edited by unclesallie; 4 October 2009 at 05:38 AM.. Reason: additional info |

http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2009/8/...quartz-mo.html Since it's quartz, any competent watchmaker should be able to service it. I've heard good things about Precision Watch Repair in Philly which looking at your location I think is reasonably nearby. They mainly service Omega but should be able to service Breitlings as well, give 'em a call and see what they say. Worst case, you can always send it back to Breitling HQ but be prepared to be without it for 3-4 months. Good luck!, Tim |

Nice! I love the older bezel style but have read negative reports about the sharp edges thus stayed with the newer style. I would've really liked to have the Breitling Anchor on the seconds totalizer as well but in the end, my MontOly is the most awesome watch I've had the pleasure of owning.

Thanks so much! I was unable to find this watch, and you've really helped out both me and my friend. I will check with Precision Watch Repair in Philadelphia, but my impression from the repair shop in York, is that Breitling is the way to go, because of the parts situation. Best, Dan |

Show off your Breitling
Great watches guys. Here's mine bought new in the mid sixties and still on original bracelet, although I do have a cool black leather strap also.
I wore the watch when I married in '69 and also on our 40 years anniversary this year. It still keeps perfect time having had only 1 service in over 40 years. My other watches include '66 Submariner, GMT II and a Speedy. |
