Great you got to see that one. While waiting for my BLNR to arrive, I had hoped to at least see one of the new GRNRs. Good luck getting one, right?!

I’m not so sure I’m happy about that. I think he got the bug by watching/finding watch videos he thinks I’d like. Lately, he’s been watching watchmakers servicing old Rolexes. I enjoy those videos, too, though I’d like them to speed up some of the mundane repetitive “taking all the screws out” parts. I think that got him interested in the brand. These guys that know their stuff are amazing. Now I know what peg wood sticks and Radeco are. I’m tempted to order one of the kits one of the guys sells. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Wow! You went through all the trouble to sign up for membership, just to dis the new GMT color way?! Why not introduce yourself, instead, and tell us what you DO like? Welcome to the forum. Kat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

To me, this is a watch that fits in a collection with others, and when you want something toned down but still want a fine timepiece, you're covered. Not to mention that some just want a fine timepiece that they can personally enjoy without the attention. Seems like too many are now in it purely just for the attention / showing off post-covid. |

I tried on the two tone grey/black bezel GMT on jubilee bracelet today. It was surprising how well the 1/2 grey bezel works.
I really liked it, quite a suprise to me. The photos of the SS model look really nice too.

It’s really nice, right? Like someone else said, a really great piece for someone who wants to fly under the radar, while wearing a very cool Rolex. That’s what my husband and I both liked about it. The grey and black bezel looked great. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Well, when you are that critical about a watch, more so than I have seen over the years, it deserves to be found and dug up. You reap what you sow. Now all of a sudden after seeing it for the first time in the flesh, you are impressed with it. I suppose maybe pass harsh judgment when you do see it in the flesh for the future. Glad you like it anyway

I also work in a business with less than savory characters. The Explorer 1 is so low profile (much lower than Datejust) so if you pick one up - maybe you guys can share it! I've been wearing it at work for 3+ years straight now - zero issues. Most people don't even realize the Explorer 1 is a Rolex unless you tell them (which I don't). Other great option is a Tudor Pelagos! Let him try on the 39, OG or FXD!

I also tried the TT GMT on in the AD and very much enjoyed the gold accent to the jubilee and the bezel. Very classy piece. Feels a touch more formal than BLNR if that makes sense.

Finally Got to Try on a GMT!

I could be wrong, but I don’t remember saying anything negative about this one, upon its release. If I did, like many others here, it has grown on me, especially after seeing it IRL, and trying it on. I do prefer the BLNR to it, but will consider the GRNR, if lucky enough to be offered it. In Kat’s defense there have been many Rolexes I have had a negative initial reaction to that have grown on me, the DSSD chief among them. It took a lot of years but what I once thought was clownishly ridiculous I now consider to be exquisitely ridiculous. It is my favorite reference. I too considered the GRNR to be fugly at first glance, a lazy rework of the classic 116710ln but I haven’t seen one in person yet. Sometimes it just takes time. The ability to change one’s mind is to be applauded, not derided.

I guess a girl can change their mind can’t they? Trying on is a much better way than looking at pics online and tbf in most people’s opinion it isn’t as good looking as BLNR. perhaps this is what was meant as it’s easy to misread or misinterpret posts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Finally Got to Try on a GMT!
Thanks for finding that. Apparently I did say that! We girls change our minds a lot. I was just excited to see any GMT. I had not had the pleasure of seeing any of the color ways IRL. I still prefer the other color ways, excepting the VTNR, due to the Destro set up.
My AD does not require spends to buy his stock. If offered the GRNR, I will buy it for my husband, and to have a Rolex GMT in the collection. They are surprisingly affordable. I would borrow it on occasion, as well. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

That GMT looks great on both of you. Maybe buy one GMT and share the watch?

That would be the plan. No telling if they will sell it to us. I haven’t asked for a SS sports model, before, excepting the Explorer 36, which I shoul$ have in a few weeks. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Just to add to this conversation, the GRNR on jubilee is much nicer than BLNR on Jubilee, the BLNR in my eyes only looks right on oyster. I tried the BLNR on jubilee recently and took it off immediately, something just doesn’t look right to me with that configuration.
I’m lucky enough to have all 3 having picked up the GRNR on jubilee just yesterday, the BLNR and BLRO are on oyster. The GRNR more than keeps up in their company, actually I think it looks better than the BLNR. We all have our own opinions ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
