In my opinion, your SA is basically telling you it’s not going to happen. The Pepsi has gotten a lot tougher to get in the last year or two, the allocation is similar to getting a steel Daytona.
You are only 2 watches deep into your buying history, which means isn’t a lot. It’s not the only factor but there will be many people on the list with a longer history who have been waiting also. There is a reason they sell over retail as there are many people, such as yourself, who want them but can’t get an allocation. Sometimes, we have to accept the position we are in. You don’t have the relationship of or buying history to get the allocation. Pick another watch you like and hope to pick the Pepsi up further down the line.

Don’t expect sympathy from anyone here who had to buy theirs from a greyD (like me).

Buy an Omega instead. It's a better watch anyway.

I thought the custom is that a groom shouldn't wear a watch at all, on his wedding day? I did not. All the attention on your wedding day on the things important :-)

It doesn't matter if you don't have it for your wedding, if it arrives later in 2025 or even in 2028 you will be just as happy to receive it. Who knows, it may arrive on your first anniversary, or the birth of your first child or something else special in your life. Never expect a plea for a hard to get watch to work, the person before you used the same reasoning as did the person who saw the SA after you. The SA has heard it all before. Just be patient, it will arrive when it arrives. Or you can tell your significant other that you've blown the deposit for the house on a Pepsi from a grey. Good luck with that one.

I'd go grey and put an end to the questions and waiting game.
If your AD is already telling you how difficult it will be to get almost a year from now, I don't think they have much interest in helping you. |

Not even lately. Everyone is special and they need special things for special occasions. Nobody else cares because it's not special to them.

They won’t get you that watch. They’ve told you that already when they asked you to pick something else.
Weddings, birthdays etc etc It makes no difference, there are others ahead of you in the pecking order for that watch, and they have weddings and birthdays too! Go grey for the Pepsi, and do what they suggested which is to choose a different watch. That will keep your relationship with the AD going. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You will not be receiving the watch from the AD. At least not without a significant spend on other items. And if you were going to spend 100k on other stuff then why not just go grey. The situation you are setting yourself up for is no watch for the wedding if waiting for an AD. Now as you sit and wait, let Rolex discontinue the BLRO and watch the prices go crazy and you thought it was bad now. If you want the watch, have the resources to make a purchase of the watch in the Grey Market then do it now and put this to rest. You will have your watch, wear it and enjoy it now and going forward and be set up for the wedding.

Pretty simple, really. If you truly have to have that watch by next May, then your odds are not great IMO. You're now at the mercy of the secondary market and will have to pay the going rate. That's actually not as bad as it sounds, b/c you can always buy the watch @ market value and if, by some miracle, the Pepsi does come in, well, you won't have any trouble selling the one you purchased grey.
But wait...there's another option. Have your wedding without a thought in the world about what watch you're wearing- really, believe it or not, there are quite a few people in the world that do just that. And then continue to wait for the watch you want. |

Thank you everyone for your replies to my post. The wedding definitely means more to me. I just want that specific watch. So far with my AD my fiancé’ and I have spent around 60k total. Jewelry, gifts, the engagement & wedding rings. I feel like the Bruce Wayne might be more doable or I may just bite the bullet and go grey. Thanks again everyone for the wedding congratulation wishes. I appreciate this forum and all of you. Especially the person that said postpone the wedding Lmaooo. She would look at me so crazy if I even uttered those words.

Best of luck in your journey and wedding, Shomarih. Whatever watch you wear, it'll be memorable nonetheless and the watch will hold sentimental value above all.

Wait or go grey. Me, I'd wait as no watch is worth paying more than retail for.

Congrats on the upcoming wedding!
Either buy grey or just forget about the watch for now and enjoy the wedding. Don't settle for another watch, you'll regret it later. |

As usual, I agree with Neal. No offense. I like Omega. Coaxial escapement is cool, and all, and I love the orange bezel PO, but it ain’t no Rolex… Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Have you seen BLRO in person next to BLNR? I thought I like Pepsi over Batgirl but when compared side by side, BLNR did win it for me by a mile due to the vivid blue.
Also Omega is a good option too. But only the right one. ) Rocking this Speedy for the past several days and can’t even look at my Rolexes anymore. ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The OP should go grey.
Marriage is a long journey of expensive compromises. Might as well get started.

There is zero chance that they haven't received one of these. That's what they always say to avoid getting into the topic of how they decide who receives them. I also think your explanation/pitch of why you want this particular watch (the two colors thing) doesn't make a ton of sense on its face and may have them confused.
