Back in June I was offered a DJ 36, two tone rose with the Wimbledon dial. I passed as it wasn't anything close to what I'd asked for.

Decades ago was offered a porcelain dial Rolex 16520 Daytona and passed. Does that count?

I passed on this 36mm. As much as I love it, gold is not my style. TT perhaps, but not gold. Absolutely fantastic! 128238

I’ve only been offered a watch not on my want list and I passed on the Platona. Love it, just not on my wrist…

Submariner White Gold.
DD Platinum 36mm Ice Blue. If it was a DD 40 Platinum Ice Blue Dial, I would have bought it. |

I pass up a lot actually. in the past couple of months it's been a few Sky Dwellers, a full gold GMT, two tone GMT, and a platinum DD with baby blue dial.

Is it really passing if you stop by to chat and ask what’s available and they point to a case of PM models that you have no interest of buying? If so, I passed on more watches than I have fingers and toes.

The difference in relationships is quite amazing. To be declining this many, a number of people must just be offered whatever is available at a certain time regardless of wish list.
On the few occasions I’ve followed up, I’m always offered a datejust or yellow gold. And I am really not a fan of datejusts. Or yellow gold. |

I may be mistaken but it seems people in the US have way more possibilities than us in Europe..

Around Christmas I passed on a green dial DJ41 with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. Honestly, it was a good looking watch, but I don't need anything that dressy.
Hope it ended up being a great surprise for someone who really wanted it! |

ive passed on daytona x2 in the last year - im not a flipper, and the piece never interested me over a speedmaster. Understandably, could flip it and make money, but not my style and my AD is aware of that. Ive also passed on PM pieces (DD, SD, Sub). I have also purchased GMT.

We all have different likes, obviously!
I never buy what I don’t like. Not a fan of two tone, couldn’t use to Sprite, OP looks “too green” if that makes any sense. All in all, just didn’t like them. This was a span of couple of years. Hey, I left them for those who like them. |

Huge mistake Omar. Especially if it was the water with the white wrapper instead of the black one. You could have immediately flipped that Rolex water for two Arrowheads and had some change left over to put down on some Evian.

Over several dealers.
Not a lie. If you’d like any of these pieces, I think I can procure one pretty quickly. There’s over 800 configurations of Rolexes. I’m not shopping for a Rolex, I’m just shopping for like the 20 most hype ones. Will pick up a green sub. |

I haven't been over to see my (only local AD) in nearly a year and a half. He called me in December of last year to see if I had any interest in a white dial SS Daytona (126500) at which time I informed him that I had ended my watch collecting journey. He texted me last month to offer me a new TT black dial Daytona and I reminded him that my journey was over. At this point I don't have any plans to stop in for a visit anytime soon. When it's over, it's over!
