Try setting the 3rd hand to track 24 hour time instead of a 3rd time zone. I’ve found that the GMT calibre with a fixed bezel is nice for doing this, and since you already have a GMT Master 2, it’s a nice way to change things up.

You can still use the jumping hour hand when you travel to quickly change the time to local time

You have photographic evidence to prove your AD didn't sell it out the back door. That's a nice bonus.
