Patience paid off. Buying from the AD and knowing it's all correct is well worth the wait. Not paying a premium matters to me. A classic that doesn't get old.

He would have saved money buying the watch grey five years ago. Over the last 5 years there has been so many price increases that he pretty much paid a premium!

After almost 5 years, being on "the list", last week I received the most expected call of all times...🤣🤣🤣.
I had almost given up and was already considering buying it from a gray dealer.
But my rep (super nice guy), which I stayed in touch with all this time, finally came through.
Called me and told me to stop by the shop next day to pick up my 41mm Submariner...💥🎉🍻
Congrats.
Really good the AD came thru and 5 years, that's alright in my book.

After 5 years of price increases, it would have been cheaper to buy the Submariner on the secondary market years ago.

Rolex increased the size of the Submariner to 41 mm and introduced new movements in 2020:
Size
The Submariner's case increased from 40 mm to 41 mm, and the lug width increased from 20 mm to 21 mm to accommodate wider Oyster bracelets. The watch case is also 12.3 mm thick and has an anti-reflective coating on the inside of the crystal.
Movements
Rolex introduced two new movements, the caliber 3230 for the no-date model and the caliber 3235 for the date model. Both movements are COSC certified and have a 72-hour power reserve, improved accuracy, and precision I think the wait was worth it for the improvements.

I am more amazed at your patience! Five years for a SS Sub is crazy. You are better than me for waiting this one out. Congrats

Congratulations. The ND Submariner maybe my favorite watch of all time and I have the 124060 and it gets a lot of wrist time. Waiting five years though is ridiculous in my opinion. You could have owned this watch or the 114060 and have enjoyed it for that period of time for not much of a premium, if at all. Many will say do what you want and we all have that but it is a cop out.

I waited 2 years for a SkyD with no purchase history... 5 years is indeed crazy but in the end it's 'just a watch' and the OP is going to love it! Congrats OP!

I waited almost 10 years for my Sub, well, wait might not be the right word, debate is more accurate. I finally realized the desire to own was not going away. Enjoy your watch!
