I do love the Daytona for what it is. It is beautiful, and argueably a better "investment" if you can say that a watch is an investment. As far as every day goes, GMT2C all the way. My GMT2C arrives tomorrow as my new daily wearer!

I prefer SS Daytona over any two tone watch ! However IMHO SS GMTIIc has the upper hand over SS daytona .

I need a date function, so I will go with SS GMTIIc. Easier to read too

The average person will not use the feature function of either watch unless s/he is a pilot or motor racer.

I am bias towards the Daytona because I have no need for the date (often sits in front of a computer; otherwise there's a calendar or phone that tells the date just about everywhere). I also reckon the Daytona can be worn for any occasion with business or casual dress code.

Just my

If you need or want 1 Rolex, then I say get the GMT IIc. Then if you can afford the another one, then that's the time to get the SS Daytona in White Dial. In opinion I don't think Daytona should be the Rolex in your collection. I think Daytona should your secondary Rolex.

Both are nice choices, but I'd go for the GMT IIc! Oh, wait a minute... I already did!

Not owned a Daytona but have seen a few on wrists and although nice, they do look smaller compared to the GMT IIc and right now I prefer the larger look of the GMT IIc, prior comments on function and flexibility in matching attire are also strong points for the GMT IIc....
