I wasn't born yet either If I remember correctly, the dials were first offered offered on model 6200 Notice that there are three different dial configurations on the ones in the picture. The one on the left is a meters first with Submariner under, The one on the top is a Submariner over the meters first and the two on the left are meters first over Submariner with a white line under Submariner

Seeing those photos was overload. I'm a bit of a newbie as far as the vintage sport models go, so I couldn't appreciate what I was seeing in the photos until some of you guys commented on the photos posted here.
