It’s one of my favorite Rolex models, although I don’t own it. I have a small wrist, so buying grey and getting the correct strap seems like a hassle. Anyone know if Rolex will let you buy a smaller strap, if you bring the watch to them?

It’s a nice looking watch. If my collection was solidified and I had some discretionary income I’d pick one up on the secondary market for a discount.

Rolex 126655 RG YM40 - surprised how nice it is
It’s a really nice watch.
During peak Covid prices I thought this was one of the best value buys. Never soared like the others. I think it wears very well, and I like it much more than the larger YG and WG YMs on OF. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I had exact same experience. I don’t know what it is but something held me back from buying it. I mean actually now I wouldn’t full stop because I don’t like OF. But it’s really nice to look at.

I got one of the very first ones when it came out. Loved it! It had to go on trade when I got my rg meteorite on oysterflex but tbh I’d probably reverse that whole deal if I could. I miss the ym. I’ll prob add a wg or yg 42 and try that bc I always did think it could be a little bigger.

What’s holding me back is that while it has a really nice design, it’s not an “everyday” design, and actually a somewhat limited design in terms of use. A lot of Rolexes are pieces that you can wear all the time - this YM RG40 has a color scheme that is quite unique, rose gold case along with rose gold accents give vintage old money vibes. Feels somewhat out of place in many situations. At least for me, while it’s a super cool piece, not really my vibe 90% of the time. |

It’s one of the few gold pieces I really like but I can’t rationalize the price.

I’ve loved this ever since it first came out and I was able to try it on. The ceramic with the rose gold is goegeous and yet not flashy because it’s hiding under the bezel, but it would go with/balance out my jewelry on the my left wrist - I wear a lot of rose gold Cartier. I just couldn’t spend that much at that time, plus I already have the platinum YM and I won’t get rid of that given its personal significance to me, so not sure how to justify this one. But still thinking about it!! It’s so elegant looking!

Some grey listings I’ve seen mention that other OF strap sizes are available. |

Sold mine, had an untouched older 116655 reference. Huge regret. So warm and unique in real life. Got the most compliments by far.
The matte black ceramic bezel with the polished numbers works so incredibly well, the absolute beauty of this combo in good daylight is just impossible to catch in pictures. |

For me …
Rose Gold … no Yachtmaster … no thank you BUT … I’ve seen this watch in person, and it is a REALLY good looking piece … I would definitely buy it, if offered by my AD. |
