Now you’re talking my language.

Imo, it’s WG Daytona>WG GMT>WG Sub

You can't really go wrong with either of them, but I will vote the WG Sub, My WG Sub has been on and off my daily for nearly 7 years now and certainly does not get pampered. About the only time I will take it off my wrist is when I am doing something that could damage it, else I wear it more than my GMTs.

Between these two…100x’s over, I’d choose the GMT

I'd take the GMT. You can't go wrong with either.

A tough one as some great shots of the sub in this thread but I think I would go GMT. Maybe.......
If the GMT had a Jubilee bracelet then definitely!

The proportions of the 41mm sub won me over. The discounts these days are nice too. I like that it doesn’t stand out. Have had multiple people comment on my “Batman” thinking it’s the GMT and I like that it’s under the radar.

They ruined the 116719BLRO by introducing it in white gold first, then dial
swap to blue after releasing the 116710BLRO, 126710BLRO.
Feels like an afterthought.

Ah...well in this case, I would definitely go with the WG GMT Blue dial....the new sub has nothing special IMO. the blue dial on the GMT differentiates it from all the SS. In fact, yesterday, on two separate occasions, one a fellow gym goer saw me changing and was like, "Oh wow, WG GMT, wow"....then a few hours later at the golf course, another guy we were paired up with eyeballed it and made the comment..."I have never seen one up close with the WG"...if you like that sort of stuff, it does have its own following.

What do people think of the black dial 116719? I have it but makes me want to trade it in for a white gold exclusive piece. Seems like it got counterfeited with the 2018 SS releases in both oyster and jubilee.

It’s a rare bird right now. But I struggled with the fact there is a SS that looks identical albeit the white gold which has a yellow tinge. I sent it to Rolex and they changed the black dial to blue. Best thing I did. I loved it more than ever since

Yea I struggle too. What keeps me from swapping in the blue dial is the eventual exclusivity of having a black dial / WG GMT in the long run. Considering the blue dial is in production as of now and the foreseeable future. But, like you, struggle with knowing that 99% of Rolex enthusiasts might mistake it for a stainless steel while the other WG professional models like Daytona, Submariner, etc. have an exclusive look to them.

Keep the black dial as that was the original and it's pretty darn special.

Yup, I agree. Special in that it was the original dial and first Pepsi in the newer generation (maxi case, ceramic bezel). That's what keeps me holding onto it. Otherwise, I think it is a complete flop vs any other WG Professional model out there.
