Congrats David, that is an excellent looking example of the 1655.

The dial is consistent with the 5 million 1981 serial.

The dial is obviously tritium and that makes it very collectable.

The width of the lugs look great, plenty of meat, so the case has not suffered the fate of any excess polishing.

Another thing that I appreciate about your watch is the width of the crown guards. They look to be equal. So many times I see one crown guard polished much thinner than the other, but your guards are uniform in thickness (with a good amount of meat on them too

)

The lume in the hands also matches the dial, which is important, and the patina IMHO is as good as it gets, mint white to a slight cream tint (this is just my personal preference).

All in all a beauty with that 70's retro dial, it is definitely an iconic watch.
