We will never know, but I suspect the MK1 had less produced as it was not a big seller once people honed in on the Small Hands. With the Explorer 214270 MK1 being 2010 - 2016 then MK2 2016 - 2021 so MK1 produced for just 1 year more than the MK2, I do think it would be close. Still regret selling my 214270 MK2 and am seriously considering getting a MK1 in the future, then living with it for a while just to experience it, in the knowledge of if I want the MK2 dial and handset, I can just get one put in at service.

When it comes to modern SS subs the 126610LV Mk1 only had a 3 year run compared to the previous models runs of 13 years, 8 years, 5 years etc, obviously will only know how short that 3 year run is once we know how long the Mk2 variant runs for

31mm Candy Pink OP was about 2 years I think. Managed to get one new for my wife in that time as a wedding present thankfully, she's worn it every day since

In the unattainable category, the Daytona 116599RBOW versions seemed to not be available for very long and in very limited quantities.

If we're also considering small dial variations, then the SD43 mk1. Made in 2017 only (could have been sold by ADs later on of course).

The 116660 JC DSSD MKI version had also a short life from August 2014 until March 2018, just 3+ years.

The original zenith Daytona (all low production by todays standards) had a dial anomaly known as the “porcelain dial”
