Looks like the 116619(Smurf) is winning this one again. What's amazing is that I can recall when this watch was in production, nobody wanted one. Many chastised it anytime there was an incoming or a mention of a comparison thread. This watch seemed very undesirable. I was not one of those, the watch just loured me in. Anyway, years later after it is discontinued, it clearly is now a watch that many wished they had, or regret selling it. It seems that the popularity of it is very high. This is just an observation I have made in the last year or so.

very wise reflection. I've had this watch for about ten years now and no one liked it. To this day, I see that collectors are interested in it but in the street, I have never heard people say "wow, it is beautiful". On the other hand, when I wear my Daytona 116519LN, many people call out to me and tell me that I am wearing a very beautiful watch.
I think the 116619LB only appeals to true Rolex connoisseurs. |

Hello, I see that it is smurf 116619LB which carries this trio. It is true that it is a beautiful watch, yet it was not popular at the beginning of its production.
The Daytona 116519LN is also popular and it represents a story. However, with my 60 year old eyes, I sometimes have trouble telling the time. I'm surprised that the YM42 isn't more popular, but it also has a nice presence. Thank you for your opinions, which I read regularly. |

Would be the sub for me. If they released a sub date or sub with blue dial and bezel TRF would explode.

I’d prefer a different Sub, as a daily. The blue just doesn’t do it for me….

Of the three, would be the Submariner. I will choose bracelet over Oyster Flex every time.

None are grail level for
me but I’d go with the 519 for a daily. But would want something else in the lineup to mix it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don’t think many chastised it on an incoming thread, that’s a bit hyperbolic. I kind of see your overall point but judging by its current secondary price I don’t think it’s exactly exploded in desirability and value. Its current version is also a very slow seller at the ad too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Don’t think any modern gold model is likely to be a great long termer - possibly with exception of Le Mans Daytona, maybe meteorite dial GMT but as a watch the LB is gorgeous compared with the other two. I’ll die on that hill!

The YM would be my daily wearer from that group.
Sorry, but my grail is not listed in your choices. |
