With that approach I wouldn't find any enjoyment in this hobby.

I buy what I like. I’ve made money and lost money on some pieces. It’s just a fun hobby for me I have my investment accounts for actual investing. That being said I think we are heading back to 2019 prices soon.

It is all about the details of what the OP owns and what he paid for them.

Strictly personal opinion but the 15202 is still selling almost double its grey market value from 6 years ago. It’s a watch that was in production for over 20 years and the 16202 exists, an aesthetically identical watch with a more reliable movement and better conveniences. The 16202 will satisfy the market and the popularity and desire is likely to continue reducing as trends change. I would be very surprised if the 15202 was trading above $45k by 2026.

submariner date batman on jubilee panda daytona all were purchased at retail I know it sounds crazy but the sub and the batman just seem blah. The only one I'm thinking twice about is the daytona because of its history but other than the hype I just feel that precious metal pieces appear and feel more "substantial" and "special". I'm probably in the minority but this is what's causing my confusion. |

Now is the perfect time to trade the ones you don’t wear for something you will wear. Downsize 3 to 5 pieces down to 1 or 2

I’ve said many times, watches are a great investment.

If you don’t like those watches, sell them. But I wouldn’t count on the watch market collapsing considering the recent performance of the stock market and crypto. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
