I like the outer box being green and not creme color. Rolex boxes are not the best to be sure.

Still nowhere near as nice as the wooden boxes from Omega.

Mystro, you will be disappointed to know that Panerai have now changed their boxes to a much inferior blue one. It is nothing like their previous ones. Maybe their higher end references still come in a nicer box (I don't know), but I know that is not the case for their more affordable watches.

So can I now call my older boxes “vintage”

This box is for exhibition only? So you can’t have one!

Looks like the cut out on top inside box for warranty card is missing

My Pam 231 came in a really nice case.

Rolex boxes should be at least as good at their price point?

Opening a Rolex watch box that has been left closed for a time can cause damage as the edges stick together?

Yes, I received one about two weeks ago when I received my GMT. That being said, my outer box is still tan. The box itself, is the newer one.

The cut out is still in there. It’s just the angle of the photo.

Omega do really nice boxes, but they are so big! It's almost an anti climax to open them.

My Sub No Date (from last month), purchased in Honolulu came with the "old box" if there is such a thing.

On the "new box" - does the back, inside of the box fold down for storage of warranty card etc. ? Doesn't look like it in the photo.

No, it's not there anymore. I have more pictures on my blog and you can see it's gone.

I have all my boxes with cards, whatever stickers, papers, receipts and extra links plus bezel protectors came with them at the time, I guess I have a hidden box museum in my house I never visit so I guess it doesn’t matter except when I’m gone my kids can find them…

Can we send back our recently bought boxes to RSC and under warranty get them replaced with the new ones? Just kidding
Honestly unless the material of the box is real wood or something of the level of Patek Cartier or even Omega, I don’t really see them being any better than the existing ones except the change in the color

There really isn’t any need for watch boxes and warranty cards these days. More brands should follow IWC’s watch box/travel case idea and Hublots online warranty card and instruction manual.
