Completely agree. It may me as mangled on the inside as it is on the outside... Hope it works out for you, just keep us updated, that's what we're here for.

let me say that the casing IS dented and is NOT repairable. The dent on the He valve is the worst. A case will cost $5 Franklins I believe, but check on the price, my pricing is old. So to get the watch to new condition will cost MORE than 2 Gs with a bracelt, case, movmt service, new case back, crystal. Sorry to say.
Thanks, Randy |

That's certainly no screaming deal not for that kind of money. If the outside looks that bad, who knows how the inside fared ... needless to say, it hasn't had an easy life. IMHO I would Wash your hands of it, spend a few extra dollars and get what you want.

With what you paid GET YOUR MONEY BACK!
You can get a VERY nice M series for what it will cost you to get that back together and it will never be like new... They rarely will fix a dent. Bracelet 1200 Service 600 Crystal 300 (ballpark guess) Caseback likely can't be polished out or at least they wont as it will disturb the integrity of the caseback. The lugs are so rounded its horrible! I doubt you got box and papers.... You can get a BRAND NEW one for 5,000 here on the board with a full warranty. Even if the seller gives you back 2K it is not worth it!!!!

It looks like it would need a new bezel and insert as well. That bracelet has some major strech for a recent model. Recieving your money back in return of the watch is the only thing Id settle for.

Please explain why people buy EXPENSIVE stuff on Ebay??? Why would anyone do this? Is it a mental defect? Or Darwins Theory at work? I just don't get it. I really don't. Seriously....
I say he got what he paid for, next life lesson. Sorry. |

I agree, full refund or else chargeback. This is inexcusable.

Hope you are able to get this resolved. Definitely go for the refund. I wouldn't mess with a watch that hammered for all the tea in China.
Good luck. |

Looks to me like its been skipped across the road a number of times. Agree with the others that this one should be sent back for a refund.

hopefully the seller will be a good guy and refund your money.
it's amazing what some people truly believe is good condition. i once drove 3 hours to meet a guy and buy a SD. he told me it was in great condition and upon inspection was shocked. it looked like your SD (not quite as bad) and was a killer deal but I had to pass. |

Excellent point Greg.... if he treated with outside of the watch harshly, I doubt the inside received any better care.

After a lot of thought (about 1.5 seconds) I would return it as 'not close to being as described', get my $$$'s back and afterwards give the seller some advice on how to conduct his business.
That is a shocker.

I've bought and sold many a watch on ebay and all were exactly as described with no hidden problems. You have to do your homework is all. I just don't see how the seller was able to "hide" the condition of the watch(on ebay) when the buyers pics a clear as a bell. Where the ebay pics out of focus, dark, far away??

What da........ did the seller not provide pictures of the watch to you before you bought? $3400 would be a good deal (and a reasonable price I think) for an excellent condition SD depending also on what year it was made. But man... that one's been through some rough times. I'd insist on a refund and send it back. If they're any kind of a decent seller they'll honor your request. Unfortunately, the way he or she has acted so far in obviously deceiving you, it doesn't seem like he or she is a decent seller (or even a decent person... why would you knowingly deceive someone like that?!).

If they were of another watch, this is fraud. In any case, I'd sure like to see them just to see what's up, as I'd like to see how any halfway detailed photo of this watch could have been presented to make it presentable.

I totally agree with others that you should get a full refund from the seller for this totally misrepresented watch. Why would you want to essentially remove the movement and build a new watch around it? Definitely not worth the time and expense!

OMG!! If that watch is so buggered up on the outside, I shudder to think what the state of the 3135 movement would be like!!
Nothing short of a FULL refund on this POS!!!

Also don't forget the caseback - since it's engraved you may want to get a new one - $200 or so. |
