What can mechanical watches do that quartz can't?

Here's one example: Say I'm cooking something, and I want to time it. The problem is that I started it 3 minutes ago. There's no way to get a stopwatch to start at 3:00, but it's easy with a timing bezel.

Any other examples of something that a mechanical watch can do that a quartz watch can't?
