My GMT showers with me every night. I use neutrogena bar soap as it is great at removing body oils yet mild. Then, I dry my baby off and usually wear it until I am ready for bed.

I'd be more concerned about soap scum making the gaskets less effective over time.

You have a third person that washes "daily." I usually wear my watch on Friday through Sunday and I wash/dry it before I put it back into the box. I use lukewarm water and put it on high (somehow I think the high water pressure will push out the dirt between the links). I do not use any soap and I do not use any soft brushes because I feel any type of brush will give my watch micro-scatches. Then I let my watch air dry on this soft cotton cloth provided by Rolex. The only potential drawback I can think of is hard metals in the tap water. However, I am not that crazy (yet) to use bottled water to clean my watch!

Eye glass cleaner
Try spray eye glass cleaner.... I use it and wipe off with a kleenex. Works great. -Bob.
