CONFIRMED news regarding the professional line

I agree wholeheartedly that Gerardo has never trolled and anyone looking at his post history would agree.

I’m thinking a member hastily using a derogatory term should have a chance to rectify that. Hoping Bill will respond. But he’s logged out so don’t know.

I’m not a Mod but I do believe we abide by the rules in the spirit of the community here.

You will never see those letters because AD's have stricktly instructions not to show them for someone outside the company.
Some AD's speak about the content in the letter but the most don't.

So let the time tell, do you have any proof Gererdo is a troll?

Maybe he looks like a troll (yes I have seen him) but that is not enough.

Look at the patents over the last few years - They are for New models

When you're making new stuff it's kind of hard to keep making the old stuff to keep up with demand.

2017 shows a New full glow bezel
2015 shows a new GMT (pic below)
Interesting. It's too bad this got lost in the "troll" shuffle. Sometimes companies file patents to protect ideas they're considering but may or may not implement or market. Even if they decide not to market the idea, it prevents other companies from using that technology for a couple decades. Conversely, it could be a sign of things to come.

With the current six-digit models, the GMT debuted first (in 2005), followed by the Submariner Date (in 2008), and metal grades were staggered over the succeeding years. Nobody knows if Rolex will follow the same pattern with the next round of designs, but a new GMT patented in 2015 might be ripe for debut in 2018. Kicking off the sports redesigns with the GMT would follow the previous pattern, too. And yeah...facilities busy making new designs wouldn't be making the old ones.

Six digit SubC debuted in 2010, not 2008.

Apparently a lot of shipments are coming in this week. My AD is getting one as well.

That doesn't really have any bearing on what the OP is talking about though.

If I’m not mistaken, the OP was a personal guest of Rolex for the ‘17 US Open and has a great relationship the a very popular AD with several locations in Texas as well as others I would imagine. The description of Troll associated with Gerardo is uncalled for.

The word Confirmed I feel caused all the ruckus. Based on what I have read this is far from being confirmed. Had the OP stated what he felt is happening based on his contacts and excellent reputation, this would not have been so controversial.

Not sure I understand your comment having no bearing, the OP stated they were cutting back on the watches mentioned in the post and now they are showing up more so than in the past few months.

Oh well. Some people will never be able to have a TRUSTING relationship with company owners, VPs or members of the board; they will always need ‘a physical copy’ of everything discussed.

TRUST does NOT work that way.

Do not believe me? I do respect that, you are entitled to your opinion; but what do I ‘win’ by stating false information?

To all haters: sorry, keep hating, do not trust anything you read and go on. Oh, and bring a lawyer or a notary to have ‘proof’ of everything.

Everyone else, interesting comments/opinions.

What's happening this week is irrelevant, those watches were already made. This is something you will find out over the next few months to a year. Not to mention a statistically nonexistent sample size.

Trudat...The total production output for 2018 would be less than 2017. How much less? Nobody knows except Rolex upper management.

Lol. Don’t even pay attention to the ones that argue with their opinions.

Thanks for sharing G

Let’s see how it plays out this year.

Well, the main point of this board isn’t really about the Rolexes we have, it’s mostly about the ones we want. If we can’t get them we are NOT happy!!!

Others have said they’re being trolled. This crosses the line. Next time the member might not be so lucky as to only get an infraction.

Good Lord. Calling G a troll!? Or even inferring it!? There needs to be a middle finger emoji for a response to a post like that.

Mods, any chance to add one just for this thread only?
