Thanks again everyone. No reason for anyone to eat crow; not enough meat on the bone to make it worthwhile.

BTW, the girl in the slideshow is not my wife, it's my 12 year old daughter Shannon! LOL. She's getting to be a real Rolex expert (like she has a choice?). She asked the AD if he carried any children's Rolexes. Of course he said he would be happy to size any watch she wanted to buy! As an only child, she will own plenty of Rolexes someday.

Last I knew the MG GBV was $6575, not $7,495. Was there a price increase?

Thank you so much for your kind sentiments. I wish you the same enjoyment from your Rolexes, as these are giving my family.

Great looking kid with a nice smile you got there. Before I comment about the watches I have a question first? Do you believe the USA went to the moon?

Funny you should ask. Well, I did some yard clean-up work, so I am wearing my GMTIC. It's silly I know, but I don't want to take off the plastics. I enjoy seeing the watches virgin, in their boxes. I did wear the Milgauss yesterday out of the AD, until my wife saw it, tried it on and wouldn't take it off!

I'm not going to wear them until I have the insurance in place. Jeweler's Mutual is open tomorrow, and I will get them covered. Until then, they will be stay safe and sound, shrouded in their boxes :)

Thanks for the compliment on Shannon. Why do you ask about the moon? I don't get it? But of course I do believe we did!

Me too so I believe the pictures are real also. Nice trio. I have gone the vintage route, but if I was to buy a new model it would be one of those three.

Actually, you are right. The AD said the list price on the 3 is $25,675:

Daytona: $9,925.00
DSSD: 9,250.00
Milgauss GV: 6,575.00
Total: $25,750.00

I don't know where the $75.00 went. He sold me all three for $20,000. The percentage off is about 22%. At least that's the number I come up with.

Group Buying

I think everyone can get a deal of that caliber, maybe even better. Why don't TRF members work together and buy their watches as a group? At least those in proximity to each other?

I think when it comes to items like these, members are looking out for themselves.

This isn't a group-buy situation, when you want to buy an exhaust or intake for your M3.

Everyone's out for their own good. A group-buy for watches would be fantastic if we can pull one off.....

Thank you :) It will be interestingto see how low these AD's are willing to go.

On Saturday, when I picked up my watches, my AD had just sold a Gold DD a few minutes before I walked in. He claims he's still doing a brisk Rolex business. I don't know if this is indicitive of the Rolex market in general, or he is an anomally. I'm sure his price felixibilty has a lot to do with it. BTW, he is in the fanciest shopping plaza, in a city with a regional population of about 1 million, and he has a very fancy jewelery store. He isn't located in some backwater community. He is just smart enough to appreciate fast nickels instead of slow dollars I guess.
