That is an amazing choice. I saw this one and the silver roman dial version at my AD earlier this week, my friend. The silver diagonal motif dial is absolutely gorgeous.

I knew this would happen rather sooner than later.

Advance congrats is a very naughty way of enabling, Ben.

I really must say you nearly got me with your recent shots of your YG DD40 with black motif dial.

In the end I went for the PP as currently there´s no 100% satisfying dial choice available for me with the DD40. I will wait for Basel 2016 to see if they introduce additional interesting dials.

I had a DD2 and when I first tried the 40 on a few months ago I felt it was too small. However on trying a few on yesterday they felt absolutely fine on my 6.75 inch wrist, and in fact the DJ2 felt a little too big on me. It wears similarly to my Daytona so like a small 40mm. I loved the diagonal dial but haven't seen the Romans or black dial yet so will make a final decision next year.

That's a great pic Eric, still to make up my mind on the dial so that's very useful.

Thanks for that Neil.
Funnily enough i'm also looking to add the 116515 Daytona but with the Ivory dial so the side by side pic is really useful.

My pleasure buddy! No matter what choice you decide on, I am sure it will be awesome. Are you going to pull the trigger on it before Basel 2016? Maybe hold out (if you can ) and see if there are any new dial options for the DD 40.

I have a new respect and love for these older classics. I could see myself looking around for some of these treasures. The great colored dials, the bark bracelets; great stuff! For the price of a SS you can get GOLD.....

I am currently saving for a WG DD40, but I'll add some vintage YG later down the road. They keep growing on me... Badly...
