well it takes some time to like them but they finally get to you, they sure got to me, I just don't want to go to their boutique as I don't have the funds for them and I don't want to be wanting something I can't afford, but I can tell you that if one day I make big bucks in any kind of way, I'm going directly to a RM boutique or AD

yeah I also go to high end shops dressed not great, if I am received like crap I go elsewhere, but most high end shops train their staff not to take into account how people look like, like we say in France don't huge a book by it's cover, or also it's not the clothes which make the monk…

Yeah that's what I thought at first, man how I changed my mind, so much that if you propose me a 500K patek or RM I take the RM

I can't remember how many I have owned over the years but it is certainly at least a dozen. Favourite either my Marcus edition 11 (which stayed in my possession longer than any watch I have owned in the last 10 years), and my 39.

Did you finally decide wether you were coming back into Patek or not? Can't believe you sold all the ones you had, they were awesome, seems you also don't know why you sold them

These are really, really growing on me. It's funny - on my own wrist they don't do much for me, but whenever I'm seated across the table from someone wearing one I can't stop looking!

Time to reciprocate and have them looking at YOUR wrist

Don't know which ones you tried on, but so many different colors, materials, etc...there is something for everyone

I think that's part of the problem, there are so many varieties I wouldn't know which one to pin down! Still, it'd likely come down to a basic RM 11 in RG or one of the Lotus variations. Both are beyond hot.

Those are GREAT choices...however, EXTREMELY hard to find right now.

Can find Lotus, but I like the way you are thinking

For better or worse, I saw two RM 11s and a Lotus for sale picking up the box for my RG 44mm from one dealer and having the strap for my Plat 44mm switched out by another. The joys of NYC living I suppose.

Yeah there are quite a few available in NY and other major cities but available at the right price is a different story

That's the key (price) and a Massa RM011 RG or Ti is darn near impossible right now (not saying there isn't one or two in US--wow )

If you know of more BNIB from AD, please PM me.

I think I was pretty clear on the reason I sold them in previous posts. The only one I would buy back is the 5970p.

Well for example my grey dealer friend can get a 010 for 72.000 euros when the boutique price is 106K, of course he sells it for a little more, but don't know about cooler pieces as 011 if any of you guys want one I can ask him, it's in France and you also have 16.9% tax refund, so if he can get a good price can be interesting to come, if you are interested I will say it's for a friend, he'll make an effort than for a stranger...

He's also great for selling watches, he's been selling my 7 watches, and only takes 7% on the sales, if anyone comes in France you can contact him, www.rivierawatch.com by far the nicest and most honest grey dealer I've ever encountered, so much that we became friends, hope it's not against forum rules to give his contact but for those in the US it's easy, you have DavidSW, Takuya and a few others, in Europe there isn't any like these except for this guy, Jérome, which is the same level as the US trusted sellers, and which is very rare for a grey dealer he does tax refund, and full refund of 16.9%, many shops in France do only 12%, all the other grey dealers I've contacted over the years in Europe none did tax refund...

That's good to know Arnaud thanks. For some reason I thought VAT in France was 20 per cent. I will check out his website and see if he has anything interesting for me to buy.

Well in fact VAT is 20% Roger but the tax refund is a maximum of 16.9%, don't ask me why but it's like that, I think that the companies which make the tax refund, there are 2, take a percent, but I don't really know how it works. About his site he only puts what he has, if you want something special you need to ask him and he will try to find it for you, basically he can get all brands except Patek, sometimes he has one or two but he can't get on order, for RM since you like I asked him one for a friend, and as I understood he called a boutique or AD with whom he has a connection, so don't hesitate to write him a mail and say you know me, he is really a very nice guy

Not sure I understand that. I have bought in France before and had the full 20 per cent taken. It sounds like one of those annoying "admin fees" scenario.
