Totally. AP now allows you to make your own rainbow on both arms!

I’m usually a fan of their releases, even if they’re “different,” but these are horrible

New AP’S prediction 2022 thread

You beat me to it. But maybe that’s a good thing.
These pieces could’ve looked much better if only the dial and/or bezel was with the gems. Not a fan of these…. What were they thinking

By comparison, I think Patek crushed the fall release in terms of how they are managing the entire product line for the brand. I am actually, very, very happy/impressed by the decision to release world time chrono in steel, and re-release '5711 blue' in WG.

At this point living with code chrono and ROC chrono for a while, I can not say this enough, I feel wearing these watches they are too thick by a few mm. Patek shrunk in height, AP went up...think Patek went the right fit direction! Not to mention on the gem count too. Lol.

Yeah, great day for Patek - they crushed it with the new releases.

I love AP as a brand above all, but some of the recent release have me scratching my head (some great, others not so much). With a new CEO on the horizon, this could be an inflection point for the brand. Hope it’s for the best

Maybe optimistically it’s like vapor ware. Competitor announces something so you quickly announce something you don’t actually have or built and will likely never build just to announce it!

I think Drake may have been part of the design team on these, albeit a bit too vocal perhaps

They should’ve kept this off catalogue or something. Production run will be tiny but still looks awful

Hm. Had to go to the website to check if this was real. Doesn't make a difference for me, but not sure we needed 10 of them. I assume they will look much more impressive IRL.

Great idea. Although, this may be their way of showing what they can do for when people ask for a piece unique.

Catered to that niche clientele. Very few will find these appealing, imo.

Well, switching the 5711/5811 from steel to WG isn't exactly breaking new ground, design wise. And whether the rainbow/red strap aquanaut is that far ahead of the RO rainbow friends collection is debatable.

Dear Lord...

Outside of rappers and NBA stars / fashionistas, is there any regular person actually wanting one of these to go to dinner / drinks etc!?

I feel like I'm a money heist movie where the protagonist breaks into a safe of a wealthy sheikh and finds gaudy jewelry everywhere... They'd belong in that safe

Yeah, let's hope for a Jean-Frédéric Dufour post-Nataf Zenith moment for AP :D

At Hermes trying to meet bag quota: what do you think about this leather horse saddle since there is nothing else available in the store to buy?

AP: We just got this very unique piece in...how about considering it for your significant other...

Well, if between rappers, NBA stars/fashionistas and sheikhs they have enough customers for these, that's good enough. I'm pretty sure the "regular customers" won't have to worry about AP trying to force one of these on them...I hope.

New AP’S prediction 2022 thread

AP is my favorite brand out of them all. But I must admit Patek came up on top today. AP needs to step their game up. Whoever is designing this crap needs to be replaced. This feels like an attempt to pull off the Daytona Beach set. But this isn’t wearable for most humans.

The sad thing is I get where Patek are going with their releases and they are strategized every step of the way and it makes sense. Sadly, I really can’t see nor understand where AP is going with the last few releases. I hope they will calm down and pull themselves together after this 50th anniversary year ends. This release should’ve been kept off catalog. This really pisses me off lol.
