OK, so I've been looking through old pics, I found some of a matte-dial 1675 I used to own a few years ago. It's a 1,82XXXX from '68. It was on a really tight '74 C&I, and had B&P. Nice-looking watch, with a great case. Thought I'd share

Ahhh… the mesmeric allure of a flawless mirror-finish, gilt-gloss lacquered dial after 48 years.

Nice Nato. Matches the blue of the insert perfect. Your first picture makes me miss my gilt. They look amazing in that angle. The gold font just pops.

Thanks - I love the gilt dials. Matte, too, but the gilts are a bit special, IMO.

Not only are they special but the prices are fair. They definitely have not caught up to gilt sub prices....which is why I need to find myself another one before they do

Thanks Buddy - It's my prettiest watch, for sure.

I also love the colour of these straps. This is the third one I've had, and although I wasn't overly impressed with the quality of the first two, this one came from a different source, and I think it's slightly superior (I reckon the first two were 'seconds').
