The greatest fear of a friend of mine is that when he dies his wife sells his watches at the prices he told her to have bought …😀

We do? I've never seen anyone here on TRF... oh, wait.

Nevermind.

Hi, my name is Steve. Can I be of assistance?

Being she is without a doubt the undisputable better half, perhaps she would be interested in something special for herself? It IS Valentine's weekend, think romance. Use that special smile, make her breakfast in bed with a rose on the table. Fresh orange juice, her favorite coffee...

And then profusely beg and plead. Don't be shy, you'll reeeeally need to seem desperate. Look, I find if it gets very bad, groveling while giving the very sad puppy dog eyes sometimes does the trick. But save that ONLY for when you REALLY need to pull out all the stops.

Hope that helps.

Or just get her interested in them too. If I may humbly ask, when was the last time she was gifted a timepiece? Last night my Muse, frankly, I'm the one that got conned. You think we have enablers here, try being married to one... who then turns the table on you(!).

Steve you're pro status, you got the hamster back on the wheel here. Last gifted timepiece was several years back, so quid pro quo under the veil of Valentines Day could be the winning combo.

Speaking of a timepiece for the better half… I know it is by faaaar premature, but I would love to welcome an SS sports watch for women from Czapek. Their take at it might just be fabulous.

A 36mm version of „something-inspired-by-Antarctique”. Preferably presenting a unisex approach, allowing us to borrow them from time to time from our halves.

I’ve been debating ordering one with a production date on my birthday in May 2023. If i do, it’ll be black dial with red accents.

Sure seems like every 2-3 days passing by adds about a month of ordering lead time. Amazing. I have a February 3rd build date and ordered a couple days ago

The more I look at the configurations, I think black with red accents may be the most stunning. I was leaning towards the blue at first but am thinking black may be the way to go.

Black with seconds’ red head … top … and timeless … and for me a 12 (this including the small red triangle at noon), would be perfect.

In the club gents. Antarctique - Glacier Blue - DI - Red Tip - Satin & Polished - White Rubber.

Waffled a bit between Black, Deep Blue, Glacier, but went with the dial color I do not currently own. If it was my 1 and only, I probably would've went Black with 12 and Red Tip. Can't believe I'm waiting till March 2023, and here I was complaining the Grand Seiko Green Birch was September 2022...

It is funny to think about the down payment and year+ wait time, but at least it's more of a certain time frame (vs the amorphous current Rolex AD game).

Congratulations. It’s a long wait but many items are in todays world. I place an order for an Airain type 20 November 2020 and it’s been delayed to May of 2022. Now that’s a wait!

On the fence with this brand. I'm drawn to the Glacier Blue dial. Discovered the brand today and reading up on it. The dial is stunning! Long wait time doesn't bother me. I'm just not completely sold on the company I'm wondering about longevity

Congrats to those who have placed orders

I recommend looking up some interviews involving the CEO, Xavier. He is what won me over to the brand.

+1. Same reservations but there's definitely some genuine passion over the brand from their CEO. I also connected with their US liaison, along with their sales manager at HQ and they seem to have a similar level of enthusiasm as fellow hobbyists.

Love the design, dial, and I'd rather throw my resources to brands like this.

You are completely right. Xavier is totally capturing, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and charming. Indeed, if you actually want to save money, you should avoid viewing his interviews 😀

Really interesting to see the momentum of this brand re: awareness and enthusiasm...ordering is now well into April. At this pace, they could hit a 2 year backlog sometime before Watches and Wonders

If this situation evolves like in the past two weeks, then we may see very few 38.5mm. Before they’re officially announced and the formal lists made open, our fantastic guys at Czapek may have already decided to close the lists. Unfortunately.
