I did not use the PloProf clasp, I wear it with the buckle that came with the strap. I do the same with my canvas straps, too.
The only straps I use the claps with are the black and orange OEM rubber.

You could try reaching out to Watchbox. I haven’t personally purchased from them yet, but have watched and read a lot of their content, emailed with them a few times, and I’d be confident buying from them.
