Larry,

How do the bracelets (Sub 16610, 14060M) differ?

Thanks much!

16610LV question

I recently got a D serial number "LV". Everything checks out. I got the paperwork too. Why doesn't the case reference number include the LV? It just says 16610.

Thanks for the 'rare' information - do you have the latest..?

I greatly appreciate the comparison information, between the date and ND models. It is very hard to get anything like what you have produced.

Do you have similar stats for the latest versions of these models?

I'm dredging up an old post from six years ago for two reasons. First, useful information comparing the two Subs. Second, I'm interested in adding a no-date and was curious how the 14060M differs from the 16610.

Hope you find this interesting -- or maybe you've moved on to ceramic versions ;-)

Just a minor point if it hasn't been mentioned .... the size of the bezel inserts is different for these models and they are not interchangeable.

Enjoying and loving the simplicity of this masterpiece every day :)

Just like a good whisky, the flavour gets smokier and smokier with time :)

Cheers!

This comparison is excellent and still valid. I have the lug holed variant of the 16610 and the 14060M. Placed side by side, the differences slowly become apparent-but a micrometer might be necessary for some measurements.

Now-Read Paul Altieri's "Last of the Best" article on the 14060M. Owners might become
a bit more reluctant to part with their 14060M ref OR their 16610 ref: they have been discontinued. The 14060 M could be considered a modern 5513-with similar appearance-but 3130 movement vast improvement over the internals of the 5513.
but vastly improved

Anyone know if it's possible to fit any kind of SEL bracelet onto a 14060M?

Cool post. I’m hoping my first Rolex will be the 114060. I wonder if these characteristics still ring true...
