Great intel David. Now I need to dig through the couch to start collecting change. I'm currently short $7,250. Maybe I'll talk to you concerning around next November.

PS Thanks for the SS Daytona sell.

You need to get a position at an AD to sell these babies. You could be the rising star of New Zealand's AD network!

Oh Yes indeedy Allan mate!

I'm first in the queue for an LV which the AD tells me he's expecting late August/early September.

BUT the bad news is that if I don't 'feel' the green-ness & I decide to wait for an LN I'm fourth in line for it....
the AD figures 4-6 weeks between getting each watch so......

(gets calendar..... tick tock tick tock.......)

If I wait for an LN it could be Christmas before it gets strapped on my wrist!

Another 'win some lose some' part of it is that the AD won't fix a price on a watch that he hasn't got in stock yet, so if there's a price increase between now & getting mine I'll have to pay that too....
BUT I put down a good chunk of the cost today by way of 'store loyalty rewards' that I've been saving up, so that's softened the blow massively!!

Thanks David, I think the price differences are reasonable when considering the overall upgrades.

When do you think we will see the 1st new Sub for Sale?

Actually I am not surprised,
I had anticipated $7.000 for the Sub and not $7,250.
The price of steel in CH.- must be higher than the price of Gold..
Anyway I like the new Sub

About the Green monstrosity I can only say... GOD help us...and protect us
from making a $7,750 MISTAKE
Definately I will not be putting any money down.

And for the oversized Explorer I...(?)...lets say "it ain't a Panerai" to charge $5,650

Thank you my friend for getting the prices for us..

That's great news Dan! You big green monster you! I think the LV will definitely be a watch that will need to be held in real life, under several types of lighting, to really get a feel for whether or not it's right for you. I hope you will be happy with it...pictures of this baby in the flesh will be very interesting indeed to see.

Your math on the LN is sobering...6 weeks between subs...4th on the list...24 weeks!

I'm waiting for their arrival here in the states.

Be thankful you're not having to pay the silly prices we have here in the UK with almost no AD discounts. Bad times.

It's sure fun to speculate and discuss the pricing on the new improved(Yikes!!!)watches but I'll wait till they are in the ADs' stores and then we will know for sure on the pricing and whether there will be discounting or not!!!

You don't need to move to Canada. Just buy from an AD that is out of your state and have them ship it to you. No tax.

I live in Portugal and my AD told me that the new 116610 will cost around 5.300 Euros (6.800$).

Quite different!

I wonder if they could give any discount

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Thanks for the info.
May I ask which US AD provide 20% discount on GMT-II? That will be great if they can also do tax free. ^_^

Thanks a million.

I just placed an official order today with my local AD here in Tulsa. They said that the USA Rolex rep told them to expect only 1 or 2 SS Subs before year end... in late fall or early winter. The USA Rolex rep told my local AD to start making an internal list for the new 2010 SS Subs.

Thankfully, I am # 1 on the list for Tulsa.
