They look truly revolting - especially the Pepsi/black combo.
An object lesson in how to destroy two beautiful, classic watches. Who buys these things anyway ?

Some PVD/DLC mod'd Rolex models look great, but it just does not seem to work here - esp the GMT...
Cheers

If coated properly, I think that Subs look great with the PVD treatment.
The Pepsi...well that's a different story. |

You can tell from the photos they are both covered with a matt finish...
which is apparently a bit blotchy and uneven. Yes, that would completely ruin the looks of any watch. I think the more desirable coating is DLC, which in pictures I have seen, preserves the surface treatment of the metal, whether shiny or polished. I'm not sure it would be worth sacrificing the availability of RSC service even in that case, but it looks better than these two, fer sher.

Nearly threw up my dinner after seeing those pics. I am a big fan of PVD, but certainly not a PVD Rolex!!

Keep it stock, PVD just makes them look cheap, besides it chips and fades over time.....now DLC on the other hand is a better choice.....Still, I wouldnt ruine a Rolex with silly "upgrades".
