These are mine. I would have got Oakleys, but...

these could be made in my prescription, the Oakley's could not.

I have worn everything from Vuarnet to Ray Ban to Revo. When I switched to Costa Del Mar's, I never looked back. The wife wears Native's and Maui Jim's. By the way, Gaby, I think the Wayfarer's look pretty good on you.

Persol is arguably the best you can get. I wear them for eyeglasses and sunglasses. They with run you $200 - $300.

I have a pair of blackframed Wayfarer s that are so old ...they are now gray. I was
recently given Seringeti Dante model glasses....fantastic ! I found Oakleys in the street,
handed them into the Police ( Cops not the band ) and got them back after 8 weeks If
only it was sunnier in Scotland....I could wear them more often.

Here's me near a well-known clock.

I have been a black or tortoise Wayfarer man since 1984. They've just kind of always been my thing. I had a few pairs of Aviators in that time as well.

I liked Ray Bans back when they were made by Bausch and Lomb and didn't have Ray Ban plastered on the lens. I wore the Aviators and the Shooters.

Now, I wear prescription glasses with Nikon progressive, Transition photochromatic lenses, with magnetic clip-on shades for driving. The frames are made of a new beryllium-based, twistable metal, which are very comfortable and durable.

They cost about $600., but they're worth it.

Very clever.

Do you remember when the way to tell a real pair of Ray Bans was to look for the tiny BL on the edge of the lens?

That was discrete.
