Ferraris. Unreliable?

You know, I heard that one too. Thankfully the unreliable ones usually belong to a friend's-neighbor's-sister's-uncle's-colleague-at-work's-third-cousin-in-law's-Facebook friend from high school, so I try not to think about it too much. :)

Here are my pics. Pardon the mixed-metals faux pas but somehow Platinum and Silver works okay in this case.

p.s. Though the 430 is a fairly reliable car, it isn't the first reliable car to come out of Maranello. In Ferrari circles, the most reliable car honors are usually bestowed upon the 328-series with very little argument -- and these guys love a good argument.

Scuderia Nova -
The first picture of the YM over the striking Ferrari badge is awesome.
No wonder you go for that YM color combination and no other.

I got this one in this condition from Germany in 1990.

A MB 450 SLC - 73 in bad condition.

It was cheap but it need some work.

So I have to start with it.

A new fender and some welding is needed.

Some more new parts installed.

Now the hard part, it´s a lot of work before painting.

Now we are close.

Huh, now we have get the primer on.

I choose a white color with just a little blue tone,
they call it polar ice white.

And the final touch.

It runs great and I still have it.

Thats amazing craftsmanship Jocke!

Thanks, Oystermann. Cameras, watches, cars. The holy trinity of my guilty pleasures! I'm a wannabe photog that sometimes gets lucky with my snapshots. The first three pics were by me. As for the panning shot of me at speed and the one in my avatar, credit for those go to local pro shooter Ken Visser.

Let's hear it for Ken!

Even so, your first shot with the Ferrari lettering under the YM really is First Class - love it!!

No no no.
I would not think of stretching it.
It just fits nearly perfectly.
Fortunately the glove is extremely flexible.
