Looks perfect!
Ok you asked for it :)

I had a few 6263's come my way... there was always something off with each one.... either the lume dots were missing, or there was a service dial... or no papers... something was always off...and because of that I passed on each one... I got really close on 1 - even put 500 bucks down on it - but a PM from Jedly put me off on it, as the condition was not so good.

Anyways... I was starting to get frustrated (I got so frustrated at one point that I said F it... and started to look @ double red sea dwellers - even drove 3 hours to po-dunk PA to look @ 1)... then one day I saw a auction on ebay (with no reserve) for a perfect black dial w/ white sub dial 6263 - full set... but again this was ebay so I wasn't 100%. After sharing the auction pictures with a couple of people on here (and my watch guy in Georgetown) I started to gain confidence in the seller and the watch itself (the guy had 100% positive feedback on over 1000 auctions - the other watches he had for sale was a MKIV DRSD, a Orange Hand 1655, and Red Meters 1st 1680). I called the seller and spoke with him a few times and he was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The last sway that I needed came from Jedly as he stated the seller was 100% legit - well that's all I needed to bid with confidence.

So I put in my max bid the last day of the auction at around 10AM while at work - auction ended @ 12PM. Then I get called into a 3 hour meeting that was only supposed to last an hour. By the time I get out to check the auction it had ended and I lost it by 100 freaking bucks. I was LIVID.

I left work and called the seller to tell him what had just happened. I told him my whole story about wanting this watch to wear to my wedding and how I'd been searching for it for quite some time. The seller was very compassionate to my story and decided he would take 1 (of his many) 6263's out of his collection and offer it to me at a similar price to what the other one had sold for on Ebay.

A week later here I am with the biggest koolaide smile on my face :-). The seller is 100% standup and went OUT OF HIS way to accommodate me. So I guess for the folks still reading.... Ebay isn't all bad - you just have to make sure you do your research on the watch and "BUY THE SELLER".

But I gotta be honest, like I said before in this thread, w/o Jedly's strong endorsement of the seller I never would have moved forth.

Jed is a STANDUP guy.

Those older cases and dials are so much cleaner and more graceful and better-proportioned. I have a feeling that in 25 years Rolex and all the other watch makers will be back there design-wise.

That is a very very special watch.....to trim down to just this (plus your Sub of course) is a wise move in my opinion
