sorry to hear that... Try to search who did know about your trip... And the most important, keep rolex informed about the serial numbers.

damn that sucks, i hope you manage to get them back somehow & that you had 'find my phone' installed, even the IMEI number may help...find the phone & hopefully the watches won't be too far behind..good luck

Sorry to hear... How sickening.

Inform Rolex so they can add your watch to their lost & stolen register. There's a fair chance that it might turn up one day, if the thief tries to sell it to a dealer, or if it ever gets handed in for servicing.

Inform all pawn shops & watch dealers in your area with details of your stolen watches (I hope you have a record of all the serial numbers). Keep an eye out on eBay.

I'm sorry to hear brother! It really is disgusting how this could happen. I also believe that it might have been an inside job. I'd think really carefully. Wish you the best!

Truly sorry to hear about your misfortune Alex. I know the chances of recovering the watches are slim but I hope for the best and that those responsible are brought to justice.

Recently lost my black sub and blue two tone sub to a family member who robbed my house and "conveniently" knew where all the valuables were kept. The officers posting above are probably correct. The officer on my case said within 30 minutes that he suspected we knew the thief. I suspect you might know yours. Hope you have better luck getting your items back than we did.
Sorry you are going through this.

Sounds like an inside job to me as well. I'm very sorry for your losses here. I hate thieves. They should be dragged out and shot twice.

There is no excuse for stealing someone else's hard earned things. Some things are irreplaceable such as my late mothers jewelry which was stolen last year. I couldnt wear it but it was my mothers so it hurt just the same. So I hate thieves and they should be shot. Low lives who have no place in a civilized and polite society IMO.

Sorry to hear this. Try and report your stolen GMT to Rolex. If it ever gets into the service centers Rolex should be able to return it.

Alex mate I can't think how you must be feeling right now squire!!!!

Maybe ask neighbours if they saw anyone? Make Rolex and Omega aware of serial numbers etc etc.

Ask Apple if they could help? If not send the IMEI number of your phone in to get it rendered useless.

Good luck mate don't let the scum bags ruin your mind also!!

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments and advice.

I'll give you guys a little more info as to why it definitely wasn't an inside job, rather just opportunistic chancers. The reason only my room got done was that firstly the alarm didn't activate until they went into my parents room hence giving them ample time to search my room and several guest rooms. As it turned out my room was the only one with valuables that through my own fault were merely sitting on my desk. Naively I believed that our house would be the safest place. My brother's collection is along with my parents collections far more impressive than mine making this a far more bitter pill to swallow. This as the police have told me is one of those moments in life where I've just been the unfortunate victim of amateur burglars who took advantage of an open window and severe good fortune on their part.

With respect to the great advice regarding iPhone gps taggin etc, I've checked out the address this provides and this isn't actually my residence, merely a house we were looking to move into, so thankfully no-one through Trf could have been able to locate me . As for the stolen iPhone, I did have my iPhone 4g on me but it was my iPhone 3G that was stolen. Not the biggest loss in the world as it was an old one but still something of value that I was planning to give to my girlfriend.

We've had the forensics team in and also the serious crime office but as of yet there are no updates. As I only returned home today I haven't had a chance
to inform rolex and omega but plan on doing so today. Ironically we found out today that of my dads collection, his more expensive pieces were safe but he had left several of his more vintage omegas out on his bedside table which were unfortunately stolen. Again these were of not much material value but of great sentimental value as he'd had them since his early 20s. In some ways I feel worse for him as his watches were the real treasures but some stupid thief will probably discard them as cheap without ever giving them the real respect they deserve.

Check with Insurance

Sorry for your loss .At least no one was home and no one was hurt. With that said none of us like to lose the things we have worked so hard for , especially in this manner to low lifes ,who are just interested in victimizing hard working people. Definitely press the insurance company a lot of times their first response will be it's not covered. Look carefully at your policy it is possible that you do have some coverage .

Please give that a LOT of serious soul searching thought. I have found that many people who own them do not have the "training" and "proper mindset" to safely get through a lethal force confrontation. You need to be ready to do what you have to do in a split second and live with the consequences.

If you do go ahead with your stated intent, PLEASE, get professional training.

IMHO there is nothing you own of value that should not be insured. Even if it is not insured, there is no "stuff" worth even the most pathetic human life.
