Here are a few pics of it brushed and with an oem pvd bezel. I swapped the bezel for the one on it now. I like it more then the pvd one.

I'll buy it. But I prefer Rolex movement dial with black chronograph outer circles.

It looks okay but i wouldn't go for it. The reason I like the current daytona (if i could find one at a good deal) is that it doesn't have the ceramic bezel. Although on the flip side it would be a lot easier keeping this watch scratch free than a standard daytona.

Very nice! Love the classic 16520 dial, with the retro ceramic bezel!

Very nice, but the price for even SS Ceramic will be at least 15K.

That dial is a floating Cosmograph and is quite rare!! Give me the true floating cosmo and I would be quite content!!!

Well done Andrew! I'd send that over to Rolex for consideration…. definitely would be a popular seller.
I like the Zenith dial- I think they could slightly beef up the black subdial rings and hands and give the white dial some stunning blue lume to finish it off. |

Is there any reason you can't "build" one of these buy special ordering?
- I'd like a modern version of what I have seen Newman wearing - SS watch - black/ceramic bezel - panda dial - black crock strap Any reason you couldn't just order a standard SS daytona watch, order the components and have them assemble? Then I'd have the look I want without having a super expensive vintage watch that I'd be afraid to wear working in the garage. Thoughts? |

This is more of my personal taste but would love to see it up to 41mm with fatter crown, chrono lugs and crown guards. While I'm at it, might as well compliment those changes with increasing the thickness of the watch and bracelet by 1 to 1.5 mm. These changes will go great with the more visual arabic numerals of the panda dial.

No AD's will ever do the Panda dial on a Daytona because 1. They couldn't get the dial as Rolex now requires switching the dials out and they will only let you do the dial switch for dials in your grouping (ie ss or ss/gold or solid gold dial colors), 2. The Panda dial with white markings is from the white gold Daytona and 3. My AD said they would loose their dealership if they tried to bypass the system and they weren't willing to do that for anyone........
I love the Panda dial with SS....thats sooooooo hot....The black bezel looks unreal...WOW |

A person could do DLC coating on the bezel couldn't they?????? To achieve that look on the Zenith...I have inquired about it to several DLC coaters and they all said yes they could do it....
