Google found me this in 0.27 seconds:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Noronic

Another search found me this more extensive account, which is fairly accurate:

http://torontoist.com/2011/09/histor...-lakes-aflame/

Took a little longer though, 0.29 seconds

The choice of engraving may not seem very personal, but it is to me. And suits the ExplorerII quite well, I think.

Wow, great engraving. I guess you've got the world in the palm of your hand! How much does something like this run?

that is extraordinary! Absolutely extraordinary, I agree with you, it completely fits an Explorer. Am I bad if I want something similar?

Pretty cool stuff! Any PGA Members here have the logo or anything of the sort engraved?

Also I was wondering, from what I've seen most Rolex's seem to be blank on the back - is this to leave room for engraving?

Thanks!!

peace

when doing something simple like initials or a little copy, would you think its important to send to Rolex or will more local engravers do?

One thing to consider with the engraver: If they leave the case back on the watch and do the engraving in situ, it will be perfectly aligned. If they take it off to engrave, it is likely it will be off-kilter when reinstalled to tightness.
