Honestly, I am certain that everyone on this forum knows more about watches than me. I just got into this and am trying to learn. I really did want to know if people were wearing two watches to make a fashion statement, or if people were wearing two watches to perform some sort of practical functionality, or anything else I could learn. I love my watches. I love this hobby! If everyone would have said that it was SOP for a WIS to wear two watches at one time, I'd have two on in two minutes! But it sounds like I should stick with only wearing two if there is a compelling reason to do so.
Now, about the guy who wears two jock straps at one time...

Well, one can always think of a situation. Like you walk down the street and suddenly all your clothes are dissolving and you are left with no pockets. I'd say it is a force major factor and in all normal situations one would look strange with two watches on.

In both cases my Rolex would be my "watch" and the other might tell the time but I would be referring to it for it's other functions.
As to ever wearing two ROLEXES... You'd look like a tool, but whatever floats your boat!
Yes, I agree that two watches generally look strange, but I do think there are situations like those you describe when there's some logic for two watches.

As another example - a watch on one wrist for time, a watch with a built in heart rate monitor (such as some Timex watches) on the other when working out.

I hadn't thought of that one, but equally valid.

I've heard of wearing two watches at a time but this is a new one on me!

I wont be asking why someone would want to do that.

Oh this one I understand and fully condone!

It's unfair to expect one to be able to take the strain!

In all honesty if there was a reason such as knowing two, tree, four time zones or timing something with a chronograph I would suggest putting them both on the same Nato strap and wearing them. It would look more intentional and less like a retread.

Hilarious.

I honestly don't think anyone wear two watches at the same time. When people post pics of themselves wearing two on one wrist, they are just showing them off, they don't actually walk around like that.

If I ever saw someone wearing a watch on each wrist, I would laugh out loud right then and there.

One of my WIS friends sometimes wears 2 watches, one on each arm... And he loves it! ... Why not? Rules are made to be blown off... But i would not. (too classical i presume?)
