Yeah, Andrew, that's the way it works. The difference is called compensating the seller for his/her time, expertise, and services.
BTW - What do you charge your clients? Wholesale or retail? "ATH: "Twit? Go f#@k yourself asshole. I'm an attorney who spends about $250k yr on watches. You wanted to jack me around and pay wholesale for my watch and charge me full retail for yours. I called you on it and now you want to act like a smartass. I'll male sure I let people know how you do business. " |

Thanks so much for the support.
Regardless of the OP, Nearly all my transactions within the forums has been excellent, and no real problem at all. It's why I love this hobby. I am a guy with one good watch. To everyone, If you smell something fishy, cut the line and pull the sale. All the best, Bill

To all who responded . . .
Thanks for the comments guys and I especially appreciate your support Steve as you definitely seem to "get it". Incidentally, I don't know Kareem from Adam, but he is certainly posting like he knows me well and the two of us go back for decades. Kareem even seems to know intimate details about my financial circumstances.
To clarify a couple of points, I sent Mr. Wylie a link to my law firm's website for the purpose of verifying my identity. I sent him two references at the same time. The intention was never to "bully" or otherwise throw around that I was an attorney. If you read through the email string I posted, I think that is clear. Once Bill refused to honor our agreement, after I agreed to pay his asking, transfer funds any way he liked and supplied him with two well-known references, did I make mention of being a lawyer. I brought it up for the sole purpose of assuring him that I knew what a contract was, what it takes to form one and what the remedies were for a breach. Bill wanted to argue with me via email that we "didn't have a deal", etc. when I knew damn well we had consummated the deal for his SD. Sure I was disappointed but I would have been willing to let it go had Bill not insisted on trying to justify his actions. As for the previous disagreement with Mosco and the select portion of the email he has included above, my apologies for my part in that go to you sir for reacting the way I did to your email comments concerning the UN perpetual. If you still have it- I'm still interested Everyone is free to continue picking apart what happened to defend this guy's actions as somehow justified. We are only as good as our word on these boards and when I for one tell someone we have a deal- I stand behind my commitment to perform my end of the bargain, regardless of how I may "feel" afterward. I do this because safeguarding my integrity means more to me than living with a tinge of regret over a watch I am sad to see go. Regards, Andrew |

Andy .... you've done enough damage to yourself in this thread. Why don't you let it go before you make yourself look even more ridiculous. It's a watch for chrissake. It's clear by the responses in this thread that the support you had hoped for isn't coming.

Simple- I don't stand idly by and allow anyone to question my integrity or credibility, even if it means subjecting myself to a bit of lambasting from trolls. Rather than just admitting that he made a mistake, Bill has decided to publicly post that something about our deal "smelled fishy". I don't believe asking him to specify what that was is out of line. Thanks

Plenty of other allegations and threats elsewhere in the thread though. Nuff already, I reckon.

As to the public post, I believe that the public posting here is yours.. From this thread alone the members and other readers can probably assess their own view of your "integrity or credibility", and your hair trigger "I'll sue", and "I'll make sure that everyone knows. . " (as noted in the only two examples we have of your "deals") mentality... ... It certainly tells me to steer well clear of ever dealing with you..
