I did not read the whole thread so sorry if this question was already asked. Was the watch new from an AD or was it from the second hand market? Also please as others have suggested post a few pictures. Thank you and sorry about your bad experence.

Based on the fact that she has not given additional information or commented on anything, it seems that she just wanted to complain. That's fine, just don't expect everyone to agree. I don't expect you to agree with me, and that's fine. Being a small company or large company has nothing to do with someones actions being justified. If it's wrong, it's wrong. I don't doubt she wants to enjoy her Rolex, she obviously wouldn't be frustrated if she didn't care. She just didn't seem to care about correcting the current problem, which draws question to her motives. If I were in her situation and wanted to correct the problem, I would seek advice on this forum so I could enjoy my Rolex. |

Sounds to me that the service centre she is dealing with is at fault . Contact Rolex headquarters in Geneve, they`ll take care of it. I have written to them in the past and got a reply within one week and hand signed by the company president, and I`m just an ordinary guy, not a celebrity

Other than the few supportive post, I am very disappointed at the arrogance, pompousity, and blatant fanboyism displayed towards the OP. I, like most here, respect, absolutely love and own the brand. However, I am not under any delusion that is impossible for Rolex to occasionally produce a defective product. If I was the OP, and I came back to the thread and read the many post that eluded to me being somehow at fault or a troll, I would not have responded either. Post a picture? What would that prove, could anyone ascertain the problem of the watch by a picture. I know this is a Rolex forum, but come on, some of the responses were accusatorial and uncalled for.

Ok, did any of you read my post from 21, June 10:44 PM titled: Dude I Broke my Sub! I love my watch, and my previous Rolex's have all been amazing, but when Rolex gives you a dud, they often can be arrogant! My mother had a similar experience as hers back in 1988 and I remember her frustrations as well. Here's a copy of that post btw:
Ok, has anyone heard of, or better yet had a similar scenario? I have owned 2 Datejust's, and 2 previous Sub Date's (an "A" series and an "M" series). They have all been amazingly resiliant. In fact, my A series took an unfair amount of abuse, to the point where several times I couldn't believe that it was still running...but it never stopped! I finally broke down and traded up to a new Ceramic (Brand new from AD..so new in fact, it was still in the shipping wrap and box that Rolex shipped to the AD). Either way, 18 hours of wear later, and it died. It had a full wind of 40 turns....but I put on another wind and about 12 hours later it did it again. As I brought it to my ear, I heard and felt a klank, and w/ each roll of the wrist, I could feel the rotor hitting the inside of the case. When I called the Dallas SC, they said you must have shaken it....thats the only way this could happen. Wtf? Seriously...I hammered nails w/ my "A" series and not a hint of an issue ever. The most trauma this thing saw was brisk walk at the mall, and subsequently some harsh language! |

I don't know I think the whole thread smells of trolls. What does the OP plan to do again, go around telling everyone she meets that Rolexes are crap because of a fault with hers? In a forum where everyone appreciates watches. Good recipie for troll brew.

News alert: The price of Rolex on secondary market tanks due to unhappy customer slamming the company everywhere she goes. When one grey dealer was asked to report on the mass chaos this one woman had caused..his respond was " I have never seen anything like it and can only hope Rolex acts swiftly to correct the problems before my inventory is worthless."

So the OP posts once and she has hasn't posted again. Lively discussions take place with accusations against TRF members. Lots of replies.
I don't know if the OP is real but usually this type of activities by the OP are also known as trolling (and I apologize if the OP is indeed real). |

She's probably afraid to post again given some of the hostilities in this thread. When people are mad they like to complain, we've all been there with something, not necessarily watch related.

Unlikely, according to her profile, she logged off 2 minutes after making the post and hasn't been back since.

Hmmmmm..
Obviously the OP struck a chord. As Mike Myer's used to to say on SNL - here is a topic - "Talk amongst yourselves" It would appear that 86 posts later the OP's original on TRF is still her only one. Look's like a case of hook, line & sinker to me |

People here asume to much. She did not even post a model number. She know nothing about the brand except that its a popular highend brand that fellshort of her expectations. To me she is just an upset buyer that needed to vent. No more; no less.
