Off to Espana on Saturday for a week so will give her some pool and beach time Although the weight of it may be a problem.... lots of swimming round in circles May need to use an inflatable arm band for my left arm
You do know that white gold disintegrates in water?

Just joking of course. :)

Definitely. Just send me a PM and we'll organise something. I'll still try to persuade you to come to the GTG

Thanks Ken. I've been moving from a 61/62 chapter dial 5512 to this. In the end my lack of patience tracking down a perfect 5512 just got the better of me but I'm still after that early 5512. I still regret not pulling the trigger on that beauty you were selling earlier this year. But I'm really enjoying the weight of my "Blue Angel" and the colour of the dial is really something else So have you got one too? Why doesn't that surprise me

Thx Dalip. Your beautiful WG Daytona got me started on this search when I saw yours at the last London GTG. So as far as my bank manager is concerned, you're partly to blame......

I'm not easily impressed but Steve that's impressive!!

I actually refused to try one on last year at my AD's 'cos I knew if I did I'd soon be "signing on the dotted line" & straight into five years of monthlies!!

Reminds me of the first time I saw a white gold Daytona though & I said to the wearer "Lovely watch mate" & he said "Oh thanks! It's actually whi......" before I interrupted him with "White gold yeah I know!"....

"Mate that's the best thing that's happened to me in ages!... No other f****er knows what it is!!" he grinned!!

So it's as stealthy as you want it to be I reckon....

My sincere congratulations mate....

Incidentally is the blue ceramic bezel the same shade as the blue bezel of the YG/SS two-tone?
Maybe it's the white gold? numerals but this blue just looks so much better IMO.
(No offence to the TT-owners! I want onea those too!!)

Thanks Dan and yes I like a bit of stealth every now and again

I'm pretty sure it's a different colour blue for the WG Sub. When I was checking them out in the South of France, the AD was pretty adamant that the blue used was only available on the WG Sub. I have just checked the Rolex website and to me the TT Sub is a darker blue but you're right it could just be the difference in the YG lettering and surrounds.

there ought to be some kind of BAN on the number of pictures allowed for this watch!! it is giving me sleepless nights especially since i've seen a few in AD windows on my holidays this week.

congratulations though!!! sure wish it was on my wrist as well... this forum is bad for health!!

Ha ha yes that what's lured me into getting one in the first place

But I think I would need to have had a ban from all ADs worldwide, no Internet access to enablers like DavidSW, all my telephones confiscated and probably be locked in a darkened room to have stopped me

Currently giving it some wrist time in sunny Espana as I lounge by the pool, cool beer in hand contemplating the next acquisition

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone
