I'm sad to hear of his passing and my thoughts go out to his family. He brought innovative products to market which are used by many today. He will be missed!!!

As in the words of Billy Joel - Only the good die young. Steve jobs was 56, my father passed away when he was 55. Both have had an impression on me. 11 Years ago i bought my first mac that i used as my primary computer up until 2008! Still in use today. I wouldn't have been introduced to Apple if it wasn't for my father teaching me a few lessons. 1. You're too poor to be cheap which led to 2. Quality of over quantity. Hence i spent 5000 dollars on my first mac when PC's cost way less than half that and ingraining the same mantra that Steve believed in. Strive for the best and never settle for less. Watching his keynotes were special.

Whilst I never saw the man eye to certain aspects of his product, you got to hand it to a man who brought a company on the verge of bankruptcy to having more money than the US gov't, and at the same time changing the playing field.

RIP Steve

I dropped a couple tears when I heard the news, even had to sign off my work computer for a moment to gather myself, what a huge loss to the world. Icloud and Iheaven are for you Steve. Terrible news :(

Steve Jobs (and Apple) changed the world for the better.

How many of us now listen to music on an iPod, use an iPhone and do some of our business on an iPad?

He made products that became "must have" and while many of the ideas (ie an MP3 player / a smartphone / a tablet) were not new, they changed the playing field forever.

Rest in Peace.

RIP... We all know that Bill Gates just breathed a sigh of relief.

I hope Apple does not take a dive in quality and innovation.

RIP Steve, another fine inventor goes to the great geek gig in heaven.

I wonder if he also invented the watch he's wearing in this snap, looks very Apple'esque

My feelings exactly. We knew it was coming but that doesn't make it any easier. Really sad news on any day.

Not a surprise but still feel shocked, I'm sure if Apple adhere to Jobs values and ethics it will carry on strength to strength!

RIP Steve
