It should be noted, at least at my Jared's, that the watch I bought was 40% off, but they insisted on adding sales tax, even though I live in another state. Still a great deal, but just an FYI on my experience.

I've bought watches a lot when traveling and they don't care where you live...unless you SHIP it. Some aren't even doing that now.

It's not surprising. They're the market with buying power these days. North America is definitely not where the money is.

Me too. They wouldn't ship it either though, that's what I'm getting at. Not at my local Jared's at least.

Jared: 40% off, but they are selling as "used" with stickers on, no box and papers. 1 year Rolex warranty through Jared.
No SS professional models.

I been to jareds a year ago and they were doing this kinda deal where they gathered up "new" old overhandled stock or possibly items purchased and returned quickly and sold it marked down.

If I'm not mistaken I was at another store not named jareds and the sales person said it is under same ownership and they seemed very similar and had the same offering.

I just went to the St Charles Jared to look at a blue dial Air King. M serial (circa 2007) that was allegedly new with all the stickers/seals on it. However the seals were very worn and old looking. Price was just under 3 w/o tax. NO discounts on any pro models.

I don't think so. I only spoke to 1 store near me but she said she thought Rolex was only carried in the midwest.

Just left my local Jarred. 20 watches left, 10% disc on SS.
They have a 2 tone Daytona for $9500 nib. She said they are getting new watches every day. Everything 2 tone is 40% off.

Do you know if they ship out of state? 40% off is good. Is GMTC TT considered 2 tone too?

It's been told to me if a person resides in another state where they have another store that it negates that tax benefit

I am in NY and most stores here in NY NJ don't carry Rolex. If they (midwest stores) ship out of state (of course purchase via phone can't go in person), with 40% off + tax, its still like 30%.

I just called the Jareds in Phx and they have watches left. They put a 116334 on hold for me 45% off and I am having my friend go pick it up for me today.

They said they don't ship out of state or ship to another store in your state. You have to have someone pick it up and they still hit you on tax. But 45% off is a pretty good deal I think.

This is the DJII right? Wow, Jared located in Houston would only give 10% off....I don't understand why there is a difference b/t the two locations.

She said they will not ship. GMT TT is still considered sport to them...They seem a little wacky!!

She is going to call me about a 116234 I liked. They still wanted $6050 for it.
If the price drops I should get a call.

She also told me they sold a WG Daytona on leather for $9800!!!! I would have jumped all over that one.

Do you mean 116233? I just checked the list: 116234 = $7550 and 116233 = $10100. I am interested in 116233/4/1 if they offer 40% off !!

116234 is what they had. Yes $7550 plus 20% off gets it to $6040.
If it gets to 40% they are going to call me.
