Carl, nothing but the best wishes in your decision. I think it an excellent one! I too have a deep burning desire to become a watchmaker as well. I have done a few repairs on Omegas and Seikos and the enjoyment is unmatched (for me at least). I applied to the Lititz watch Technicum a couple of years back and was one of the 45 chosen to go for a tour and some testing as well as an interview. I truly believe that it was my apprehension about making things work while I was living in PA and my wife was back home that cost me the opportunity. I will apply again some day but I think if it is in your heart, GO FOR IT MAN!!!
