My thought exactly. You can pick up a new or used 2c anytime and very easily. The lvc not so much today anyway.

I was in the same boat 6 weeks ago. The hulk gets better and better every time you see it. I went with the hulk.
This leaves me the option to buy the less expensive of the two down the road. AD"s around here will easily give me 14-16% off GMTiiC but i've had zero success getting anything on the hulk.

You see what I have.... I had the same dilemma and I thought I would wait for Rolex to issue a coke gmt in future with ceramic bezel.... That made my decision easier .... Also the hulk in real life is absolutely beautiful and it changes colour in different lighting.... Lastly, the bezel on the gmt is lacklustre compared to the ceramic one on a black sub... The black is truer on the sub....

I have both!
Just got the Hulk, the green dial is just mesmerizing. It shimmers in bright light and is an understated dark green in normal light or when seen from far. The GMT2c is a superb watch, but I am now planning to flip it and get the BLNR! |

Each one of these pieces are amazing and neither one would be a bad choice. For me it was GMT. I think GMT is the nicest looking watch that Rolex makes

Here's my take A.S. You stated have your heart set on the GMT and it seems you're just overthinking it. I've yet to read a post from anyone that they flipped the GMT because they grew tired of the bezel. Sure, some don't like it but I haven't heard of anyone going so far as to buy the watch then get sick of the bezel down the road. Both great watches, no bad pick really. The Sub was my first Rolex and I still have a thing for that reference, but the GMT has become my favorite Rolex. If you're looking for a bit of color then consider the BLNR...or better yet the TT. Like I said, there is a good possibility of me adding an LV but if it's an either/or deal then the GMT gets my vote.

I like the larger numbers on the bezel, the way they look peaking out from under your cuff.
I love the LV, and got close to getting one a few times, but the GMTIIc wins every time. The sunburst dial was a little too much and didn't match the bezel. The SD4000 is nudging now, but the GMTIIc wins still. It is a modern classic. |

The numbers won't look big on your wrist, only in macro style wrist shots. So that's a non issue, after a day or two on the wrist they will seem to just fit.
Do you have a need for a GMT function because that would be a key deciding point for me if I had to choose one over the other. If just a choice between two pieces of man jewellery Rolexes than the choice for me is easy, the LVc aka Hulk wins hands down. The dial is mesmerising all day every day and that clasp you're worried about is the second best in the business(DSSD is 1st). It will make daily comfort with wrist sizing a perfect fit. |

Definitely the Hulk. I had GMT-c for years since 2007 but could not stand the PCL so I traded it in for SD4K-c.

A more appropriate comparison would be the Hulk vs. BLNR, which I would vote for the Hulk by a slim margin. Both are great watches!

However, if the choice were mine and they were both at the same price, I think I would give the BLNR the nod. |
