It is of course your choice and you have many opinions already, so I will take the road less traveled and suggest either 14060M, your original choice, or the 114060, when it hits the market.
I'm not knocking either the SD or the DSSD. I just happen to like the two I suggested better.

Get the one that fits you best and sings to you, since you have to be happy with it.
Seadweller 16600's time has come and gone (no pund intended). It has been replaced by the 116660. The 16600 is inferior to the 116660 in every which way you chose to compare. For a few thousand more you can hve one of the mightiest dive watches, which is the DSSD so I say go with the DSSD. A person can always find beauty in the 16600 but when you pick both of them up at the same time, you know the DSSD is the undisputed king. by a mile. |

Just chose the Subc myself. Looked long and hard at the SeaDweller but it wore smaller and without the new bracelet/clasp, I thought it was not the right watch as my only Rolex and everyday wear.
Good luck! |

I tried on the DSSD and found it too monstrous...I love my 14060M and am rapidly falling in love with my SD - Feels really solid and rarer than the Sub date - If that's what you like..

My dream Rolex would be an updated SD4000 with new clasp and ceramic bezel. I have a DSSD but the original SD really is an iconic watch. If my only watch I'd go with the SD. The DSSD is best as part of a collection.

the dssd is like a machine. the 14060 is the beater the 16610 is the beater with a date. |
