The only thing I don't like about mine has nothing to do with the watches and everything to do with rolex as a corp. the fact that they have draconian rules for parts replacement resulting in a thriving black market of parts at high prices. One of the things that I love about Omega.

That the bracelet on my 14060M is a flimsy POS compared to the Deepseas bracelet

There's a difference between feeling flimsy and actually 'flimsy'.

I have a similar feeling:

I love my DSSD, because it is big.

I love my SubC, because it is small.

I love rubber and leather strap options as well as the masterpiece Oyster bracelet.

One peave of mine is that I wish Rolex offered leather and rubber strap options for their watches (especially for the sport models), so that we don't have to look aftermarket such as Rubber B, Isofrane etc (although these are also great and many of us love these straps).

Omega have got it right with their Planet Oceans; offering bracelet as well as rubber straps which both look and wear Über cool.

I hate that there is such a tremendous premium on solid gold Rolex's .... $20k rather than $30k is a far more reasonable premium to pay ...

I was hoping my watch would make me more attractive to all the ladies. Boy, am I disappointed. It's a neato watch, however. Although I wish it (GMT) wasn't so big and clunky on my wrist.

I love my Yachtmaster, which I've worn nearly every day for more than 11 years. I don't find that the platinum bezel scratches easily, although the PCL are pretty scratched up. I love that my watch is sturdy, and goes with whatever I'm wearing (gym clothes to work clothes to formal wear).

If I had to change anything, it would be that the lume lasts longer than it does now. There is essentially no lume on the watch beyond a few minutes.

I love the functionality, heritage and the fact that I was brave enough to brush the bracelet on my GMTiic

Dislike the fear factor of breaking the bezel and also the lugs are too fat, should be much more tapered into the case.

One of my biggest problems with Rolex in general is the clasp. When you flip it open it hits the bracelet and leaves a line (scuff) over a short amount of time. I mean really? Couldn't Rolex have fixed this problem by now ? ? ? My only complaint! Okay i'm done venting!

I guess what I dislike most about Rolex is their relative commonality. It seems like everywhere you look you can spot someone wearing a Sub or DateJust. As a matter of fact, I was sitting in an airport last week waiting to board a plane. Just in my close proximity I noticed 4 Rolex. I guess that's why I tend to be drawn more to Patek and Lange.

Love the functionality of my GMTIIC, but hate the image of Rolex. Makes me cringe. It's one reason why I want to move to a PP5164 which is under the radar.

Love my SubC. In my opinion the best looking watch out there. Would love it even more though if it were half the price and had the lume of a Seiko Marinemaster.

What do I love about my Rolex?

I love the Rolesor Jubilee band (like the lug holes too) on my DJ....

What do I hate?

I hate how it hasn't magically morphed into an early SeaDweller

No complains on my 114060 and 16570 :) except small manufacturing defects when they came in and the LUME! The Lume on them both are really bad compared to my other watches. Had the 114060 serviced under warranty and the 16570 is in the RSC right now. Maybe I would like my 16570 more without the cyclops but then I don't want to remove it.

Two legitimate gripes.

1) Glare. Not having AR stinks. Look how much better the new Cyclops is with the inside coating....At least put some on the backside of the crystal...

2) Crown on SubCLV is a hand digger. The knurling is rough and it irritates my wrist..

Honestly, I only put up with these flaws because the rest of the watch is so nice and the clout of the Brand.

I am dumbfounded why more people don't mention number 1!!! The glare on the crystal seriously detracts from the beauty of the Rolex dials.

As mentioned by others, I don't like the commonality.

On the positive side, I love the new bracelets --in terms of feel, quality.

The glare coming of the Deepsea crystal is completely unacceptable to me.
In most lighting, I find it unreadable.

I also passed on a stick blue dial Dajejust II for this reason. Beautiful dial, but tons of reflective glare..

I think this is accepted because, quite frankly, a large number of Rolex owners don't own or even look at other brands that have AR crystals, so they don't realize how effective it is..

While I find the old bracelet of my 16710 lighter and more comfortable, I wish it had an easylink... While I love the easylink of my 214270 and I love how it feels solid (like I really got what I paid for), it feels hard and rigid compared to the older style bracelet...

I like everything about the two I own. As for the commonality, it doesn't bother me. In the first place, I don't see them all that often, which no doubt varies based on where onelives, works, etc. Secondly, I like seeing them on people as much as I like seeing them on you all here. I think it's a good thing.
