I'm with Patrick and others - with my dive watches I change up to rubber strap or composite strap during the summer months and back to bracelet or leather in the winter. Why? Because I can and because I prefer it. Don't give a rat's a$$ what anyone else's opinion is.
I do prefer and wear only Isofrane and the Breitling ProII straps over the Rubber B brand. Heck, even a few high end watches such as the PP Aquanaut and AP ROO can be had in rubber straps (bracelet bought separately). |

A lot of opinions in this thread.
Patrick, the red is ... crazy ... and the black is ... cool. I like the fit of the strap, and being a diver's watch this is something Rolex should offer; a rubber strap. The fit towards the lugs reminds me of... IWC... I enjoy seeing people do what they enjoy with their watches. It seems I get a few emotions awakened when I show pictures of my Explorers on Jubilee... which was an option at ADs in some countries during the seventies... A diver's or sportie on rubber absolutely makes sense. As do a Jubilee bracelet on a sportie. IMHO. Rolex should offer flip-lock clasps with, and without diver's extension that can be attached to (as you please) oyster bracelet links, jubilee links, leather, and rubber. How complicated can it be??? (IMHO again). Best, A |

Are the Rubber B straps substantial enough to stop "wobble"? What I mean is that I've tried my DSSD on a Nato before but the watch is just too heavy for the strap, making it wobble on the wrist like jelly (and no I don't have fat wrists!). |

No, it's a good thing it looks like a Rolex on a rubberstrap

The black looks nice. If I'm on vacation at the beach, or hiking, a rubber strap makes sense. Keeps the dirt and grit out of the bracelet.

Not a fan of the red, but the black strap looks good. What kind of rubber strap is that?

It doesn't look too bad. Though I would prefer it on a black isofrane strap.

I like the Rubber B bands. While I find the red a striking contrast I don't know if I could pull it off.

Go with black. Rolex divers are a natural for rubber straps, regardless of what the purists say!

Just received my black RubberB for my DSSD this morning. Sorry can't do pics at the moment but first impressions are good. Ok they aren't cheap at £220 in the UK from Rockefeller's, inc postage, but it is of very high quality indeed and fits the Deep Sea perfectly. It seems to sit well on the wrist and is extremelly comfortable too.
The only thing I would say is that these are not for big wristed people. My wrists are quite small, at just under 6 3/4", and the strap is pretty much ideal, with three spare 'slots' each side of the seven available. However if my wrist were 8" it would probably be on the last slot available which means the end of the strap would not go through either of the two fitted retention hoops, which wouldn't look nice at all. |
