I am really beginning to think that those who hate it have never owned one and have only seen it in larger than life photos online and think that is how it looks on the wrist!!!!!!!

It doesn't.

I didn't care for it at first, but now that I have two watches with the engraved rehaut, I can see that it is insignificant with regard to the overall design.

You really have to look to see it and if you look closely enough, the detail is quite impressive.

Don't care for it, but I haven't owned one either.

I have it on my Sub and my GMT2c.. Given the option, I would rather not have it at all. The little crown at the 12 o clock and the serial no. at the bottom are fine, but the ROLEXROLEXROLEX is not needed imo. Takes away from the simple beauty of some no-date models. It already says Rolex on the dial, I don't see the need for it to be repeated ten more times in the same general area.

Rarely notice it, but when I do, I like it.

I prefer it without.

I purchased my Z Sub for that reason. Not a big deal if I had it though, just like it plain.

You like "simple beauty" but you bought a GMTIIC instead of the less ostentatious GMT or GMTII?????

I was actually referring to the no date Sub and Milgauss, hence the no date models. Reading comprehension is key in things like this . I like and appreciate the simple beauty of the 14060m and 116400 and I feel that the ROLEXROLEXROLEX takes away from that.

I bought a GMT2c because I wanted a GMT function on my next watch. Hope this clears things up.

It doesn't but that's ok! It happens a lot on watch forums.
I was asking about your quest for "simple beauty"...

No problem.

I think it's a nice touch, having the serial number and the crown engraved on the rehaut.
