So I have finally joined the club. Back and forth a few times, but have a pair
of Frye boots arriving this week....pics to follow. I work from home so wanted something more casual, so opted for the "prison boot"....plus I like the chunkier appearance. Any tips on keeping them new? Waterproof spray? Mink oil?

I've been heavily considering some boots for a couple months now and this thread is not helping! Thinking about the Wolverine 1000 mile ones. I currently only have a couple pairs of Sperry chukkas, and want something for the fall / winter everyday wear.

Love my Allen Edmonds Daltons and Long Branches. I also picked up a pair of Thursday Boots when they had the kick starter last year and they are seeing a lot of usage.

Do yourself a favor and make sure you don't pay full retail. There are plenty of opportunities to get the 1K boot on a deep discount and besides for that price there are certainly better boots out there with regards to quality of materials and overall quality period.

I'm not really a boot guy, but when the weather gets a little foul my Long Branch is the go to shoe.

In about three weeks, these will be my work boots for the rest of the ski season, although I have a pair of K2 Pinnacle 110 HV boots on order.

Only boots I have. Was up in Boston last year. Received 6" of I forecasted snow. Either I had to ruin a pair of Berluti shoes or buy Lanvin boots...I chose the boots

My new work boots arrived. A nice, stiff 110 flex, but the upper releases to allow for walking more easily.

I just heard about a company called Thursday Boots.
I like the Captain and President line. Thinking they might be good to wear to work on motorcycle commute days.

If you want a good boot that can be dressy and casual.

Look into the company "to boot new york"

A little expensive but they look damn good and feel even better.
