First rate years later. It's the internals of the caliber that count. A 1315...

Hodinkee and others look closely at the 1315 caliber in the Fifty Fathoms. With three barrels and an 18K rotor, all encapsulated in a Faraday-type cage this movement in a Fifty Fathoms was recording amazing time keeping accuracy- ten years after purchase, without a service-in one reviewed instance.
There is now a titanium case offered by Blancpain. For a tool watch that stands up to
serious deep water dives, the current Fifty Fathoms with the 1315 movement may be at the top of the dive watch pyramid as of this writing in 2024.

So a quick inquiry if I may?

Is the watch case annoyingly tall? I have a 7 inch wrist and the width of the watch doesn't concern me, but i am afraid it's height or thickness on wrist will be even more annoying than the curren Omega SMPs?

NO !

Depending which Strap or bracelet you have on that can make a difference.

A NATO strap makes the watch wear a little higher as its double thickness of strap.

The watch wears no thicker than most solid good quality divers watches it is thinner than many.

It is extremely comfortable to wear.

I have had both sizes of FF watches (45 & 42) and also Bathyscaphes. ALL were comfortable and none were anywhere near too high or thick.
